Ten years have passed since that spring afternoon whenwe marched across the stage of The Mahalia JacksonTheatre of the Performing Arts. Through the years, ourlives have been touched by so many important events, places and people. It is the bond that we shared with ourjunior and senior high school classmates that will forev-er linger in our hearts.

Over the past ten years we have experienced oneof the worst natural disasters in history, witnessedthe deadliest terror attach on American soil andelected the first African American President of the UnitedStates. Our lives have been forever changed by per-sonal experiences, triumphs and failures, yet thememories of our days at Eleanor McMain SecondaryMagnet School have kept us grounded and press-ing toward a bright future.

This momentous occasion is a great opportunityto recall those who have made a difference in ourlives and careers. Use this time for sharing thosecherished and enduring memories and friend-ships of an earlier time. Let us not only rekin-dle relationships from the past, but alsotake this opportunity to develop newfriendships.

Make the most of this time together andParty Like It’s 1999!

IIt's funny how the good ole'days are always applied to atime that is a least 10 yearsbefore the present. Perhaps thisis because with maturity, werealize how great it was to be ateenager- with no real responsi-bilities, and wonderful memo-ries of how care-free we were inour 'own-worlds”.

But our “own-world” quicklybecame the real world, bring-ing with it bills, great responsi-bilities and more bills.

Certainly, there are greatblessings that come as webecome adults, such as fruitfulcareers, families and independ-ence. But take moments toreflect on how great things useto be.
