Management. It directed the query to the right work queue and department for their action. Once the action was completed, the query automatically passes on to the next action point until it was resolved. The queries may pass through various procedures controlled by the operator’s input into the workflow procedure, to collect more data on the contacts, organize a local operator to visit the site of the contact cause or request for some operation. The ultimate aim was to satisfactorily resolve the query and close. At the closure of the contact, the workflow ended. All the data regarding the query were stored in the

database. The workflow data was stored in the separate database. The staffware case corresponding to a query was considered as a front- end to the business data that was retrieved from the ConQuest database and displayed. Brief: NG Transco website needed to conform to Network Code Modification Proposal 0692 for the following reasons: 1) Increase competition between users for the provision of gas procurement and disposal arrangements to the Shrinkage Provider, 2 ) Improved liquidity in the market for shrinkage gas management services, 3) Enabled users to monitor Transco’s performance in relation to its license obligations and NTS SO incentives, 4) Improved transparency in relation to the Shrinkage Provider's NTS gas procurement and disposal activities in the gas market. The scope of the enhancement work included the publication of NTS shrinkage data on the Information Exchange website, which was sourced from Deal Database. The enhancement work also included giving the user’s manual upload functionality for the Options and the Shrinkage Reports the scheduled publication of the reports did not come out on time. Received Business and IS appreciation for successful project implementation.
Title: Support & Enhancement: ConQuest
Client: National Grid Transco, UK
Duration: 2003-2004
Team Size: 5
Role: Team Leader
Environment: Visual Basic 6.0, Oracle 8i, Business Objects 5.1, UNIX, Windows-NT, STAFFWARE, PL/SQL
Brief: Conquest System allowed shippers (Client of National Grid Transco) to log contacts (Business Query/Bugs/Problems etc.). The contacts passed through various procedures controlled by the operators input to the workflow procedure, to collect more data on the contacts, organize a local operative to visit the site of the contact cause or request for some operation. The ultimate objective was for the contacts to be satisfactorily resolved and closed. At the closure of the contact, the workflow ended. All the data regarding the contacts were stored in the database. The workflow data was stored in a separate database. The Staffware case corresponding to a contact number was considered as a front-end to the business data that is retrieved from the ConQuest database and displayed. Awarded TAZ, an award given by Wipro for significant contribution in project.

mechanism for the data loaded to the Information Exchange database from different data sources. The defined mechanism consisted of file transfer, blink refresh and daily refresh. The frequency of the publication of the report was also defined. Some reports were published daily, some were hourly, while some were monthly. Contributed in implementing major code changes, universe changes, building new reports and modifying existing reports. Provided Business Continuity Reports and served as a consultative expert to business and other integrated modules. Prepared the time and effort estimation, requirement and feasibility analysis for developing the Business Object Reports and Universes for other modules, which were used by Wipro to bid for the projects to Transco. Presented the FIMC distinction, an award given by Wipro for significant contribution in project.

Title: Ulysses: UI Engine
Client: National Grid Transco, UK
Duration: 2002-2003
Team Size: 15
Role: Systems Engineer
Environment: ILOG JVIWES, JAVA 1.3, UNIX, Windows NT, Oracle 8i, PL/SQL
Brief: The Gas Transportation Management System (GTMS) utilized telemeter data, such as pressured and flows rates, every minute. These items were continually updated and viewed via data pages in the control centers. The GTMS allowed continual control and monitoring of gas pressures and flows in order to manage variances in demand across the whole country. User Interface Engine (UI-Engine), a part of Network Manager, provided a low level view of the site by site gas network. Analogue and digital data was presented to the operators in the form of dynamic displays (automatically updated when underlying data changes) with multi-layers, alarm lists (operator was alerted through alarm lists and pictures if an alarm or event condition exists), tabular and graphical displays (Trend Plots, Gas Day Plot), Compressor envelope displays, and action replay (including display of forward predictions).
This also included the creation of display templates with the data fields being updated when the underlying data changed, Adhoc Telemetry Interface-which allowed the user to generate specific telemetry function requests to be sent for action, Manual Value Interface- to enter a manual value to override the existing data, and Control Interface-to initiate a control action. Contributed in developing the Display for the control sites of gas transportation system and providing them the required properties for dynamic refresh, an overall UKMap, which described all the control stations and their critical data using ILOG-JVIEWS. Implemented various functionalities like Manual Value Interface, Control Interface, and Alarm Lists as well as Change Request raised by the Business. Awarded the FIMC, an award given by Wipro for significant contribution in project.
