The Mangala field in Rajasthan, discovered in January 2004, is the largest onshore oil discovery in India in more than two decades. Mangala, Bhagyam and Aishwariya fields –major discoveries in the Rajasthan block – have gross ultimate oil recovery of over 1 billion barrels. Cairn India has a portfolio of 9 blocks - one block in Rajasthan, which contains multiple assets, two on the west coast and four on the east coast of India and one each in Sri Lanka and South Africa. Oil and gas is currently being produced from Rajasthan, Ravva and Cambay.

Responsibilities:
Managing procurement activities starting from the proposal stage through to post contract award. Preparing recommendations to contracts committee, monitoring contract schedules, procurement status reporting,
directing, supervising and administrating complete procurement cycle. Develop and Implement proactive procurement philosophies, strategies, policies, procedures and systems from
the view point of cost, schedule and quality controls for the all procurement stages of purchasing, expediting, test & inspection and transportation.
Prepared/Compiled Vendors Lists for contracts and arranged for their approval by Contracts Committee and JV partner as per contract conditions and level of authority.

Responsibilities:
Procurement of Piping commodities (pipes, valves, fittings, flanges etc.) In conjunction with users monitor supply base key service levels of; procurement, delivery, quality
performance and cost effectiveness; and implement effective counter-measures to ensure timely resolution of concerns and achievement of agreed objectives.
Control and conduct monthly review of preferred suppliers via key performance indicators. Co-ordination with warehouse for Over/Short & Damaged Supply during final stages of construction. Developing financial projections, preparing budgets and project costing for oil refinery project.
Key Accomplishments
Single handed procurement of all piping commodities for four complete units of Oil refinery (DHDS, FCCU, ARU and SRU) for Essar Oil Refinery, Jamnagar.
Umbrella contracts for CS & SS pipe fittings, CS & SS flanges, strainers, steam traps and CS valves for Essar oil refinery expansion project and Essar steel plant expansion project.
On time procurement of 36” & 48” 90 degree 6D bends from Korea.
