Skills:

SA Power Network’s Protection Settings Management System As I have worked on their Protection Settings Management System in the past, I am familiar the settings features within the system and the programs used for protection engineering works such as PSS6 drafter, Dekho and Field view.

Differentiating Assets within substations From the Substation Auditing Project, I am able to read and understand SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) of substations from 11kV up to 66kV.

Protection device time current grading I have experience with grading reclosers for the end of line transformer on 19kV SWERs. This enables me to determine if there is adequate protection for a particular feeder.

Programing measuring devices From the Boiler Management system project at AGL Torrens Island Power Station, I am able to program a data logger and a portable emission analyser. With the data logger, I am able to program it for loging temperature and wind velocity reading at different time intervals. With the portable emission analyser, I have experience with programing it to detect different types of gases such as CH4, CO2 and O2.

Due to the fact that I was have worked in a professional Engineering work environment

allowed me to have self-confidence, to be organised, know my deadlines and thus get the

work done on time.

Excellent presentation and communication skills Completion of a number of oral presentations and research reports at University has allowed these skills to be improved upon and demonstrated at high levels.

Can work independently, and in a team

Having spent my 20 weeks internship at a consultant engineering company allowed me

to work on projects with other experienced engineers, whilst working on other small

projects independently.
