Experience: Very extensive sailing in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans, including the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Bering Sea and the Sea of Japan. I have crossed the Equator three times, made twelve ocean crossings and transited the Panama Canal, St. Lawrence Seaway, Great Lakes, Western Rivers and the Erie Canal. Vessels: Master aboard 100 ton passenger vessels and yachts. Master aboard various 100 ton and 1600 ton workboats in the Gulf of Mexico. Master of barge fleeting push-boats and Pilot on line boats. Chief Mate aboard 300 ton research and supply vessels. Master aboard a 1200 ton seismic research vessel. Master aboard two 1600 ton casino vessels and Project Manager for a third 1600 ton casino vessel. Navigator aboard one Navy frigate and two nuclear submarines. I held a Top Secret (SCI) clearance and received an Honorable Discharge. Qualifications: Expert in all aspects of navigation, deck seamanship and ship handling, including single screw and variable pitch propellers. Radar endorsement via Maine Maritime Academy, firefighting endorsement via U.S. Maritime Administration. Licensed service prior to Naval service. Management experience at the executive level; I owned my own vessel delivery and management firm for nine years. I have planned and executed very successful dry- docking and overhaul events. I work well with all demographic groups. Proven leadership in real-world fire, flooding, man overboard, loss of propulsion and heavy weather situations. Personal: Highly motivated. Very personable with a good sense of humor. I enjoy excellent health, do not smoke and stay very fit. I pride myself on my attention to detail, cleanliness and professionalism.
