major revenue stream came from networking schools for computer classes and internet access. When Dell, Gateway, HP, and other big boys got in the play profits were merely a fraction of what we enjoyed before 1996. With a desire to return the directional drilling business for which I worked and learned much in the early MWD era I went to work with several old friends at IDR(Integrated Directional Resources). Though my primary function was Direction Drilling, I also wrote engineering applications for PC’s and PDA’s. When IDR looked to partner with an independent RSS(Rotary Steerable System) operation I was assigned to the project working with Noble Drilling Technologies group and their Well Director RSS. I have worked with most of the currently commercial RSS systems. I always made it my job to learn everything I could about the operation of these tools. I know their strengths and their weaknesses. I solved several MWD/DD problems for IDR when we added that service to our product line. Before the Pathfinder buyout I was going to be put in charge of expanding this service.( Achieved the level of Sr. Directional Driller by early 2002).

In 2002 for some years to come I worked very closely with Marc Haci and Dr. Eric Maidla of Slider Corp. in the early development of the now Directional Drilling Aid “Slider”. Our team brought Pathfinder from last to first place in drilling the Haynesville Shale for Chesapeake . Expanded our work into all major Plays in North America. Was personally responsible for the Eastern Region for Pathfinder/Schlumberger. (At any given time up to 40-50 rigs).Grade level achievement to Sr. Drilling Advisor)
