Eye Center South Marketing Internship:

• Exercised skills in database creation, management and advanced direct marketing techniques through analysis, coordination and preparation of direct mailings to specified contacts

• Developed presentation and interactive skills through patient eye screenings, meetings with optometrists, and marketing/advertising meetings

• Prepared and wrote press releases to be circulated to local media to generate coverage for new doctors

• Designed newsletters on events, sales, and updates for the practice which was mailed to more than 2500 patients and resulted in increased revenue of $3000 in product sales and surgeries

• Created a social media website to reach a broader audience and connect with optometrists and establish relationships within the company

Lee County Literacy Coalition Campaign:

During my public relations campaign course I designed a week long fundraising event titled “Lee County Literacy Week.” The week featured three events that ended in a SCRABBLE tournament for all residents to participate in. I created three media kits for the LCLC, a Facebook event page and a detailed itinerary for the weeks events. The campaign is pictured above and is being implemented in 2011. All profits go directly to the LCLC.
