Intelligence Officer 2011-2012

Used intelligence to plan 9 combat operations for thousands of personnel, aircraft, and supporting

agencies, causing “dramatic effects on insurgents’ ability to operate in northern Helmand Province.”

Trained 20 Marines to collect and analyze intelligence for a unit of 1,200 Marines in Afghanistan.

Designed a platform to integrate intelligence and data from >20 sources and databases, creating an

understanding that “consistently outperformed analysis from organizations with much larger staffs.”

Awarded Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

Embedded Training Team Commander 2010-2011

Led an independent team of Marines advising an Afghan unit of 68 soldiers on tactics and counter-

insurgency during daily combat in the battle for Sangin, Afghanistan. Awarded Combat Action Ribbon.

Selected, occupied and commanded a series of buildings as a combat outpost and led 50 joint combat

patrols, 1 joint combat operation, 2 large community meetings and 2 civil affairs projects.
