In Lucart we are aware of the social role the enterprise has in the creation and distribution of value, in the development

of local communities and in protecting the environment.

This is why for many years we have embarked on a path that has led us not only to adopt the main environmental product

and process certifications, but also to translate the experience, know-how and our expertise into truly environmentally

friendly products while providing excellent quality to our consumers and clients.

We believe that a modern entrepreneurial activity must follow a responsible development model that guarantees the respect

of rights and regulations, personnel training and enhancement, the safety and well-being of the workplace environment.

Our commitment to sustainability extends to 360°, starting from the choice of raw materials, followed by the adoption

of the most modern production techniques, developing innovative solutions by creating real partnerships with suppliers,

certifying the processes and products, designing the most environmentally friendly solutions for customers and distributing

our products with the least environmental impact possible.

This approach involves challenges, but also an opportunity to develop and implement products and services that help

to increase the value and competitiveness of our clients, the welfare of society and safety in our production plants.

The Fiberpack® project, which began 4 years ago with a global investment of more than 10 million Euros, is the tangible

result of the application of this philosophy. An economic and environmental success obtained with the commitment of

everybody involved in the supply chain: starting with beverages packs producers; to the citizens who recycle the containers

making it easier for the companies that manage separate waste collection; to Lucart, who recycles these containers to

produce paper that is 100% ecological without cutting down any trees, and lastly, to our commercial partners, who, sharing

the value of the project, provide the market with the finished product thus obtained.

In 2014 we also invested to reduce consumption of methane and steam and we have improved the management of water

resources, increasing the reuse of water in the production process reaching excellent results.

We have also developed an ambitious sustainable mobility project initiated 3 years ago with the aim of fully exploiting

our plants internal railway stations. In fact, over the last three years in the Diecimo plant alone, we doubled the goods

transported by rail and consequently reduced those handled by road.

From the 1st of March 2015, implementing a broader strategic plan aimed at refocusing the activities of the Group on

its core business, the subsidiary Lucart France s.a.s, based in Troyes, was sold. Aggregated data of 2014 takes account

of the performance of the French plant and the great path it accomplished to achieve the highest quality standards

in sustainability respect.

The difficult economic moment is dragging on longer than expected but we are convinced that our country has great

potential for development and recovery. We will continue to give the best to consolidate our positions in pursuance of the

objectives with the greatest commitment in all our markets.

The main aim continues to be to create greater value over the medium to long term for clients, customers, employees

and shareholders.

1.1 - GROUP PRODUCTION PLANTS

The production plants of the Group, on June 30, 2015 are:

PORCARI (LU) PLANT – LUCART SPA

Equipped with a paper mill department with 3 paper machines for the production of tissue paper and MG paper for flexible

packaging, an industrial wastewater purification plant, a cogeneration plant for combined production of electricity and heat,

two departments to shape cut some products and for waxing.

DIECIMO (LU) PLANT – LUCART SPA

Equipped with a paper mill department with 3 paper machines for the exclusive production of tissue paper, an industrial

wastewater purification plant, a cogeneration plant for combined production of electricity and heat, a converting

department to transform semi-finished paper products into finished products consisting of 21 converting lines.

TORRE DI MOSTO (VE) PLANT – LUCART SPA

It is solely a converting plant, consisting of 16 converting lines for the production of finished tabletop products mainly

aimed at the Ho.Re.Ca market.

CASTELNUOVO DI GARFAGNANA (LU) PLANT – LUCART SPA

Equipped with a paper mill department with 1 paper machine for the exclusive production of tissue paper, an industrial

wastewater purification plant, a cogeneration plant for combined production of electricity and heat, a converting

department to transform semi-finished paper products into finished products consisting of 4 converting lines.

AVIGLIANO (PZ) PLANT – LUCART SPA

Equipped with a paper mill department with 1 paper machine for the exclusive production of airlaid paper, an industrial

wastewater purification plant, a cogeneration plant for combined production of electricity and heat, a converting

department to transform semi-finished paper products into finished products consisting of 5 converting lines.

LAVAL SUR VOLOGNE (FRANCE) PLANT – NOVATISSUE SAS

Equipped with a paper mill department with 2 paper machines for the exclusive production of tissue paper, an industrial

wastewater purification plant, a converting department to transform semi-finished paper products into finished products

consisting of 8 converting lines.

Lucart France, owner of the Troyes plant, was sold on March 1, 2015 and is no longer part of Lucart Group.

The Professional division offers tissue products, obtained from virgin and recycled fibres, and airlaid products,

proposed with technologically advanced dispensing systems, which confirm Lucart as the ideal partner for the

"Away From Home" world.

More than 85% of the revenues realised in this sector is due to its own brand products, among which the most

important are:

• Lucart Professional, the range of tissue and airlaid products, leader in Italy and booming in Europe, which offers

a wide choice of references from wipers to handtowels, from toilet paper to medical sheets, etc. for

all professional uses.

• Tenderly Professional, the tissue and airlaid system and product line, which can satisfy all the needs of the "Away

From Home" world.

• Velo, the complete range of tissue products distributed through a network of exclusive local dealers.

• Fato, the tissue and airlaid product line, leader in Italy and booming in Europe in the Ho.Re.Ca channel, dedicated

to table setting.

THE CONSUMER DIVISION

The Consumer division puts the Lucart Group among the main players in Italy and as European biggest Retail

partner for both pure cellulose as well as recycled paper products.

Our brands are part of the everyday life of millions of people: tissue and airlaid paper products such as toilet paper,

household paper, napkins and handkerchiefs.

The main consumer brands of the Group are:

• Tenderly, among the leader brands in the Italian market, has met for decades consumers' needs by offering

a complete range of highest quality products made of pure cellulose.

• Grazie Natural, the first tissue product line destined for the consumer market obtained from the recycled cellulose

fibres contained in beverage cartons made of Tetra Pak®. All products in Grazie Natural line are Ecolabel certified.

• Tutto, the only brand in its market to offer airlaid products with exceptional performance of absorbency and strength,

able to be re-used several times, either dry or wet.

• Smile Lucart, the complete line of pure cellulose products, all PEFCTM certified.

THE B2B DIVISION

The B2B division of the Lucart Group is the main European producer of MG papers for flexible packaging and is among

the first ten European airlaid and tissue papers producers. Thanks to the know-how acquired over the years and the

continuous technological research, it is able to offer to the market the highest quality papers also using recovered

waste paper as raw material. It is partner of important national and international converters for the supply of jumbo

reels produced in the various plants of the Group. To remark the wide range of coloured papers.

1.4 - CERTIFICATIONS

The quality of our products has been confirmed by important environmental certifications.

Ecolabel: Lucart group is the first Italian company to have

been awarded the ecological quality label issued by the

European Union that distinguishes products and services

with low environmental impact.

PEFCTM and FSC®: Lucart is one of the first Italian paper

mills to obtain the PEFCTM certificate (logo licence

No.: PEFC/18-32-05) and FSC® (logo licence No.:

FSC-C100456; Custody Chain Code No. SA-COC/CW-

002617), which guarantees that raw materials come from

suppliers who implement sustainable forests management

systems and with certified Custody Chain.

The Group plants were one of the first in Europe to obtain,

for the specific tissue and mono-glazed paper sector,

UNI EN ISO 9001 quality management system

certification and UNI EN ISO 14001 environmental

management system certification.

The Diecimo and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana production

plants were one of the first integrated plants in Europe

the EU eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS)

destined to organisations that want to evaluate and

improve their environmental efficiency.

BS OHSAS 18001:2007 - Occupational Health and

Safety Assessment Series: All the Italian plants of the

Group are certified. The BS OHSAS 18001:2007 multi-

site certificate, obtained at the end of an assessment

process, recognises compliance with the requirements

of a Workers Safety and Health Management System.

The reference standard foresees, in addition to the

evaluation of compliance with the system requirements,

the evaluation of compliance with the regulations.

The latest revision of the Code of Ethics, following the best international practices, which defines the fundamental

principles and values of business ethics and the rules of conduct and the related implementation regulations has been

approved in June 2012.

The Code is provided to all company employees and collaborators so that they can adopt its content and values. The

code of ethics shall be binding for the conduct of all Group collaborators (directors, statutory auditors, employees and

those who act in the name of Lucart under specific mandates or proxies); it is also brought to the attention of all those

who, for whatever reason and regardless of the type, engages in business relations with the company (customers,

suppliers, consultants, etc.) since the negotiation phase.

The Code of Ethics is an integral part of the Organisational, Management and Control Model introduced in order to

prevent company liability pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001. Ethics in entrepreneurial activity is a key element

for a company's success and credibility. It is the factor that identifies and reinforces the company's values, to make

them foundations and engine for a socio-economic development competitive in time. The principles that have

always driven and supported our way of doing business are at the basis of the Code of Ethics: fairness, good faith,

transparency, fidelity and loyalty.

Lucart's fundamental values become rules of conduct through implementing and following the Code

of Ethics. A guide on principles, standards and rules for directors, statutory auditors, executives, staff,

collaborators and all those who have any kind of relationship with the companies of the Group.

2.2 - ORGANISATIONAL MODEL

The Code of Ethics is an integral part of the Organisational, Management and Control Model introduced in order

to prevent company liability pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001.

The Organisational Model was approved in its first draft on June 26, 2012 and later amended in some parts to follow

company evolution.

The Model is aimed at preventing the possibility of committing offences pursuant to the decree and, consequently,

at reducing the company's administrative liability.

The adopted Model, starting from an accurate analysis of the company activities to identify activities potentially

at risk, is a set of general principles, rules of conduct, control instruments and organisational procedures, training

and informational activities and disciplinary system aimed to ensure, as far as possible, crime prevention.

The Board of Directors has appointed a Supervisory Commitee, which is responsible for overseeing the proper

implementation of the Model and ensuring that it is properly updated. The Supervisory Commitee, which periodically

reports to the Board of Directors and to the Board of Statutory Auditors of Lucart S.p.A., has its own budget to

independently manage its activities.

2.3.2 - SUPPLIERS

Suppliers selection and the establishment of terms of purchase are based on an evaluation of quality, price of goods

and services requested, capability to promptly supply and guarantee goods and services according to the specific

needs of the Company.

Lucart adopts a supplier selection criteria based on compliance with the regulation in force and with internal rules;

in no case shall a supplier be preferred over another as a result of personal relationships, favouritism, or advantages,

other than those of exclusive interest and benefit of Lucart.

2.3.3 - PERSONNEL AND INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

Lucart Group's essence is focused on people.

For this reason Lucart safeguards and promotes their value, growth and success, in order to improve and increase

its assets and competitiveness.

Lucart offers equal opportunities to all its employees based on their specific professional qualifications and capabilities,

without any discrimination regarding religion, sex, race, political or trade-union beliefs, by adopting only merit-based,

expertise and experience criteria.

For this reason, Lucart considers any reports which result clearly unfounded and specious and which have the purpose

of creating damage, disadvantage or prejudice to colleagues and/or collaborators.

The Company has implemented an internal relationship enhancement policy with the purpose of facilitating

relationships between delegates and delegating, the negotiation of differences of opinion and decisional prospects

in order to improve collaboration and resolution of ordinary problems. The project considers relationship quality

as a strategic asset in improving organisational wellness and as the main contributing factor in reducing stress levels.

The work was implemented in 4 steps: the first was related to evaluating the internal climate, the second was related

to creating a training basics on communication and relational psychology, the third was focused on learning the

management procedures suitable to the Lucart context, the fourth was related to applying the changes planned

through an articulate model of change management. Changing the processes, still ongoing, has started to improve the

business culture and, due to this positive effect, the Company has promoted new training programmes always following

the described steps, including other key figures of the organisation in the empowerment process.

2.3 - RELATIONSHIPS WITH STAKEHOLDERS

The regulatory system of the Code of Ethics, with its principles of legality, loyalty, transparency, impartiality and

independence, is implemented in all relationships with the stakeholders: staff, customers, suppliers, associations,

authorities, shareholders and citizens.

2.3.1 - CUSTOMERS

Lucart is committed to satisfying its customers according to the requirements laid down by law, contracts

and predetermined quality standards.

The main objectives are customer satisfaction and protection, attention to specific requests, product quality

improvement and the offer of new business prospects. All this within a partnership logic oriented on innovative

solutions which create value, are stable over time and are user-friendly.

A Safety Committee meets periodically with the participation of all the key players, starting from Top Management;

the committee reviews all the results, comparing them with the objectives, and defines the necessary strategic and

operative actions.

In particular, accidents are monitored in all the plants of the Group through recording of reference indicators,

such as the NUMBER of ACCIDENTS in the period, the FREQUENCy(1) and SEVERITy(2) index.

Particular attention is devoted to recording and analysis of near-accidents in order to design and implement the

necessary corrective action in accordance with the principle of prevention.

Each plant is also equipped with well-defined analysis and control tools such as the Safety Meetings, department

and area Audits, Improvement and Training Programmes. Trade union representatives of the individual plants

participate to Safety Meetings.

All the above mentioned activities are realised in close cooperation with the Supervisory Committee according

to Legislative Decree 231/2011.

Below are the FI and SI trend indicators for all the Lucart Group plants.

2.3.4 - HEALTH AND SAFETY

In the last four years, Human Resources, through a strong synergy with the safety area, has completed the training

programmes according to the Agreement between the Central Government and the Italian Regions dated December 21,

The growing involvement of the workers and their constant awareness on safety issues in the company have led to

a reduction of injury frequency and severity indexes. In 2014, in order to enable the staff to report any difficult work

situations linked to stressful situations, a Help Desk has been established, handled by Human Resources, which allows

situations of work-related stress to be more widely monitored in all the plants. Consolidating positive relationships with

factory and local trade unions has made it possible, by mutual agreement, to pursue increasingly ambitious targets

regarding occupational safety (BS OHSAS 18001:2007 integrated certification) and protecting worker health.

Lucart's will is to eliminate work-related accidents and occupational illnesses, ensuring its employees and anybody

working in its plants and offices a healthy and safe environment. To achieve this target, the Company has implemented

structured and integrated systems, within which the Company Safety Policy is adopted, implemented and monitored.

In recent years, much success has been

achieved in all the Italian plants in

reducing work-related accidents and

even in 2014 Lucart Group remained a

virtuous company in this area. For the 3rd

year running, in fact, excellent results and

high levels of security were achieved and

maintained. The Company was honored by the Giuseppe Lazzareschi Foundation as one of the leading Italian

virtuous paper mill companies in reducing work accidents. Lucart Group plants that have been rewarded for their

safety performance were again those of Avigliano (Pz), Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (LU) and Diecimo (LU).

2.3.5 - RELATIONSHIPS WITH PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

In relationships with the Public Administration, Lucart pays special attention to full compliance with national or

international regulations in force. It also commits to full-fill all bureaucratic procedures related to every act, behaviour,

agreement or negotiation/assignment procedure, so that all Lucart conduct focuses on maximum transparency, fairness

and legality.

During pending or requested business negotiation, or in commercial relations with the Public Administration,

it is necessary to behave so as not to incorrectly influence the counterparty's decision.

Negotiation management, taking on commitments and carrying out any kind of relationship with the Public

Administration are restricted exclusively to appointed internal persons, being duly authorised. Collusive behaviours

and practices of any nature or kind, active or passive corruption are not allowed.

Considering or proposing job and/or commercial opportunities which can personally or indirectly favour employees

of the Public Administration or requesting or obtaining confidential information which can compromise the integrity

or the reputation of both parties is not allowed. During the course of business relationships, it is necessary to respect

what was agreed upon in the contract, avoiding unauthorised substitutions and putting in place adequate control and

safeguard mechanisms, collaborating only with competent and suitable persons.

Should the Company use a consultant or a third party to be represented in dealings with the Public Administration,

as far as these subjects and their personnel are concerned, the same directives valid for the company employees

are applied.

In case of controls by the Supervisory Authority, Lucart guarantees the utmost collaboration and assistance,

by aiding the authorities during the inspections and striving to respond to and carry out the requests submitted

in a timely fashion.

2.3.6 - CONTRIBUTIONS, DONATIONS, SPONSORSHIPS AND GIFTS

Lucart may accept requests for contributions only from expressly non-profit entities or associations.

These contributions must be provided for activities of a high cultural and/or social level in line with the philosophy

of the firm. As far as donations are concerned, Lucart does not allow any kind of gift which can be interpreted

as exceeding normal commercial or courtesy practices, or in any case aimed at acquiring preferential treatments

in the performance of any activity connected with.

Furthermore, any kind of gift to Italian and foreign civil servants, or to their families, which can influence independent

judgement or persuade to procure an advantage of any nature is forbidden.

For the sake of precision, this rule concerns promised or offered gifts as well as received gifts, by "gift" intending

any kind of benefit (free entrance to conferences, promising a job offer, advantage or benefit of any kind, etc.).

3.1.1 - PACKAGING

The commitment to reducing the quantity of packaging materials used for packaging and shipment of our products

continued in 2014 too.

Our attention, in particular, focuses on:

• the search for technical solutions linked to production, which allow for a reduction of the materials used;

• the progressive reduction of the thickness / grams per square metre of material (printed or not) normally used,

with the same performance.

Among the achievements we report that of the Diecimo plant that has reduced the thickness from 35 to 30 and from

40 to 35 microns. This activity has had a positive impact in reducing packaging both consumed in production and

disposed of by users.

3.1 - IMPROVEMENT OBJECTIVES ACHIEVED

With regard to the analysis and evaluation of direct and indirect environmental aspects, the fundamental objective

of any Environmental Management System is the continuous improvement of environmental performances.

In the last year the group achieved several environmental performance improvement objectives and interventions.

Particular emphasis will be given to actions that led to a reduction in terms of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere.

This chapter will analyse the environmental performances resulting from

the industrial activities of the Group with particular attention to the impacts

on the environment, both locally and globally.

In a world where resources are increasingly scarce and climate change

is now a reality, it is paramount to manage the activities of the company

according to environmental Sustainability criteria.

3.1.2 - LOGISTICS

The Company, in full harmony with its environmental commitment, has further developed its rail traffic at the same

time reducing the use of trucks to transport the finished product.

In particular, the routes toward Southern Italy (Campania and Sicily in particular) have been developed; these regions

are now regularly linked with weekly trains which leave directly from the internal railway junction at Diecimo plant.

This has helped to move large volumes of traffic from road to rail.

In parallel, the project to use the junction also for the arrival of raw materials from the port of Livorno has been

developed.

By early 2015, the railway junction of Diecimo started to handle the incoming goods.

Freight cars in 2014 prevented the release into the atmosphere of about 292 tCO2e1.

3.1.3 - WATER RESOURCES

The paper production process requires a great quantity of water.

Over the years, we have followed two optimization paths: by increasing the amount of recycled water

in the production process and by reducing the water requirements for the production process itself.

Most of the plants, including the ones who discharge not into surface waters but into consortium systems,

are equipped with an industrial wastewater purification plant. The depuration phase permits to reuse the water

in the paper production process.

Reusing the waters produces a lower environmental impact, in particular:

• reduction of the extraction of aquifier water resources;

• reduction of the extraction of surface water resources;

• resource consistency and reliability thanks to the purified water produced on an ongoing basis;

• reduction in wasting natural resources.

In order to reduce water consumption, systems modifying the water flow inside the plants have been implemented

over the years.

During the second half of 2014, in the Diecimo and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana plants some engineering operations

were completed to optimize the use of water resources. Such actions have allowed a significant reduction of the

amount of fresh water withdrawn for industrial purposes.

In addition, at the end of 2014, an upgrading of the wastewater treatment plant of Avigliano has begun. The project,

whose results will be noticeable during 2015, will further reduce water withdrawals.

3.1.4 - ENERGY RESOURCES

The heavy energy consumption, typical of the paper industry, is essentially due to the requirement needed to operate

paper machines.

One of the goals of Lucart Group is to constantly improve the efficiency of their production processes.

Listed below are some of the actions adopted in the Group plants that resulted in a reduction of energy consumption

(non-exhaustive list):

Installation of highly energy efficient engines;

engines control by inverters;

adoption of ceramic blades;

installation and optimisation of DCS systems;

installation of steam cases;

installation of consumption monitoring system;

substitution of traditional bulbs with LED bulbs;

installation and optimisation of the QCS system;

production processes and machinery working times optimization.

In 2014, one among several specific interventions implemented was replacing traditional lamps with led lamps

in the Diecimo and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana plants. Such replacement avoided, for the past year, the release

into the atmosphere of 17.5 tCO2e.

Thanks to the actions implemented in the Group plants we achieved a greater efficiency of cogeneration

and a reduction in the supply of electricity from the grid while maintaining a constant specific consumption.

In recent years, the company has pursued its environmental philosophy also through the use of alternative renewable

energy sources.

The two photovoltaic systems realised by the Company, one in the Capannori territory (operational from 2011)

and one in the Avigliano plant (operational from 2013) avoided the release into the atmosphere of 914 tCO2e.

In 2014, all the above mentioned actions avoided the release into the atmosphere of more than 1,200 tCO2e.

More details on avoided CO2 emissions are described in section 3.2.5.

3.2.1 - ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

In order to temporally compare the different data, some indicators of environmental performance (Environmental

Performance Indicators – EPI) have been defined to evaluate environmental efficiency regardless of the annual volume

fluctuation, as they are related to production.

3.2.2 - RAW MATERIALS

In the Porcari, Diecimo and Laval sur Vologne plants, paper is produced from pure cellulose as well as from waste paper,

while in the Troyes, Castelnuovo di Garfagnana and Avigliano plants, only pure cellulose is currently used.

As shown on the graph below, the company encourages the use of recycled material for the production of its papers.

The processes and technologies implemented in the plants as of today allow for the use of a wide range of recycled

materials including, among others, as reported in paragraph 4.4.1, the cellulose fibres contained in beverage and food

cartons (Fiberpack® project). The fibrous material recovered from beverage and food cartons has a percentage of long

fibres higher than the one contained in a standard cellulose mix; a characteristic which provides higher performance in

terms of product resistance and absorbency. The recovered fibres are not bleached, giving the paper a typical light Havana

brown colour, the natural colour of wood.

3.2.3 - WATER RESOURCES

The Lucart Group plants use, for their own industrial production, water taken from wells located within the company

perimeter and, in some, also taken from surface water upon authorisation by the competent Authorities.

The water from the municipal water supply is only for civil use.

The Company, in terms of water resources, has always committed to:

• favouring and providing for water recycling;

• monitoring the quality of wastewaters;

• monitoring consumption in the different productive process phases;

• optimising water consumption in every different productive process phases.

• in case of cellulose coming

from non-EU countries, the

purchase is made only after

careful evaluation pursuant

to the EU Timber Regulation

(Reg. n. 995/2010 and

subsequent amendments and

supplements).

Waste paper, instead,

is mainly submitted to an

innovative de-inking process

through different treatment

phases in order to physically

separate all the impurities

(inks, glues, coatings, etc.).

Even in the advanced phases,

the process does not foresee

the use of any polluting

substances, such as chlorine,

but is mainly carried out

mechanically with the fibres

going through filters and

centrifuges. Lastly, the fibres

undergo a thermal treatment

at high temperatures and with

hydrogen peroxide.

The fibres obtained through

this process enable us to

produce high quality standard

paper.

In plants where the use of

recovered material is foreseen,

material in compliance with

the standards recognised by

PEFCTM and FSC® certification

systems is favoured.

Group, including those supplying consortium systems, are equipped with further internal water purification systems,

3.2.4 - ENERGY RESOURCES

The Lucart Group was one of the first paper manufacturing groups in Europe to focus on systems to self-generate

electricity through cogeneration plants powered by methane gas.

The on-site generated electricity is used to power the machinery, while the heat esulting from methane combustion

is used to dry the paper on the paper machines.

The total power installed at group level amounts to more than 30 MWh.

The cogeneration plants in Porcari and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana fully cover the energy needs and create a surplus

which is fed back into the grid.

In addition to cogeneration, other significant plant interventions developed to guarantee energy savings are:

• the recovery of heat produced by fumes deriving from the cogeneration plant when drying the paper mill sludge;

• the recovery of heat produced by the fumes to pre-heat the air in the hoods and for heating and air conditioning

in the working areas.

In general, electricity consumption depends on several factors, including: production volumes, raw materials, degree

of refining, production mix, paper type and grammage.

In the previous section, we looked at the interventions which help us to reduce these consumptions.

The table below shows the trend of the specific electricity consumption (drawn from the national grid):

3.2.5 - EMISSIONS INTO THE ATMOSPHERE

Plant emissions into the atmosphere are restricted to:

• cogeneration plants;

• sludge drying systems;

• the air aspiration filters in the paper machines/converting area;

• air heating systems of the paper drying hoods.

As far as the cogeneration systems are concerned, in addition to carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx) are

also produced in limited quantities. Furthermore, the use of methane gas means that emissions are nearly free from

compounds containing Sulphur (SO2 e H2S), dust and particulates and reduced greenhouse gas emissions (only

combustion CO2 is emitted). The cogeneration of electricity and heat through a system powered by methane gas, as of

today, represents one of the most efficient systems with a lower environmental impact to satisfy the consistent need of

electricity and steam in paper mills. Cogeneration plants are equipped with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems

(CEMS) which allow for daily monitoring of the quality of emissions, and whose management and servicing are regulated

by the CEMS Management Manual, prepared in accordance and in compliance with Legislative Decree 152/06 and

subsequent amendments and supplements. Every year in all the plants, equipment containing gases harmful to the ozone

is removed and replaced or the refrigerant liquid is replaced (mainly in air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment).

The table below shows the emission parameter trends (NOx and CO2).

As far as the CO2 emissions are concerned, the following graph shows the emissions related to steam and methane

consumed by the whole Group.3.2.6 - WASTE

In all Lucart Group plants produced waste management follows strict procedures defined by the environmental

management system and duly verified through scheduled internal audits. These procedures are applied

to all the company areas (including premises used as office, canteen, etc.) where waste sorting is done.

The types of waste produced in the plants of the Group are mainly due to the production processes and partially due

to the existing auxiliary activities (maintenance, internal logistics, administrative departments).

Typical wastes from paper production process are mainly: sludge, pulper and plastic waste. The following graph shows

the waste incidence on paper production. The slight increase in waste production per tonne of paper is due to the different

mix of recovered material. Furthermore, it should be noted that the quantity of recovered material available on the market,

especially post-consumption, has deteriorated over the years, causing an increase in process waste.

This reduction translates into more than 6,300 tCO2e avoided compared to 2013.

This result comes from specific actions of energy saving realised in the various plants of the Group, including:

• the optimisation in methane consumption for paper drying on the hoods of a paper machine (Diecimo plant);

• replacing a biological plant blower with a greater efficiency one (Diecimo plant);

• the development of the first Italian Cogeneration Plant with Integrated Eco Recovery. The project to recycle turbogas

exhaust gases for direct paper drying has allowed for a reduction in methane gas demand. The plant went into gear,

in an experimental phase, in September 2014 so further benefits will be visible in the year 2015. (Castelnuovo di

Garfagnana Production Plant).

Unlike previous years, in 2014, because of the disasters that hit some Italian Regions where the sludge drying systems

are located, it was not possible to ensure their complete recovery.

The plastic waste deriving from production processes are completely re-used.

As show on the table below, the Company encourages and focuses on the recovery of all waste. Around ninety percent

of the waste produced is destined to be recovered, eliminating it from other forms of disposal with a greater environmental

impact, such as landfills and incinerators.

For the Professional world, 2014 was a year dedicated to the development of important projects for the tissue

and dispenser product ranges, projects which were then launched in 2015.

New developments also for Lucart Professional Airtech, the complete range of products characterised by airlaid paper

rolls and centre pull cloths, with exceptional performances. The distinctiveness of the Airtech product line is the ability

to be re-used several times, either dry or wet, like a cloth.

The new napkins line “Fato Natural”, made of Fiberpack®, innovative in both concept and Natural colour,

was launched and appreciated from early on. This line has combined the offer of a brand that has always made

quality and distinctiveness its strengths.

The Lucart Group's vocation in combining the creation of products that fully meet the market's

needs and in enhancing its brands, towards both the general public and the community,

is confirmed by significant investments on all the media, both traditional and social networks.

We should also mention the launch of the new Lucart Professional

website, available in Italian, English, French, Spanish and German.

Completely renovated in the layout and in technology, it is capable

of handling the product catalog through CMS and of adapting

perfectly to any monitor, screen and device for optimal user

experience.

Always with the goal of providing innovative and ecological tools,

we created APPS dedicated to our business partners and customers,

with the aim of delivering always available and updated content

on mobile devices also.

4.2 - MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION ACTIVITIES - CONSUMER

TENDERLY

During the year, several marketing projects were carried out.

One of the most important projects in 2014 was the re-launch of the Tenderly brand in the toilet paper segment,

which started at the end of 2012 with the creation of “Tenderly Triple Soft”.

The three key elements of this new product are:

the embossing with “quilt frame”;

the cellulose pure fibre, highly selected and treated with an innovative

process to obtain maximum softness;

the natural cotton fibres, for an even softer product.

Thanks to the mix of these three elements, “Tenderly Triple Soft” achieved

excellent results in the product tests done on costumers. During the year, further improved product features and land

promotion activities were implemented, letting the final consumer fully perceive the intrinsic advantage of the “Small

Tube”, the smallest paper roll core on the market, suitable for any toilet roll holder and realised with a single strip

paper, reducing the quantity of material used (glue and cardboard).

A new range of Tenderly Handkerchiefs with the formula “Dermo 3 Plus”, soft and resilient, able to face even the

strongest colds, was also designed and launched. The multi-ply structure of pure cellulose, the cotton fibre and the

addition of a specific active ingredient, have made them even more soft and delicate.

The whole range is dermatologically tested and has no allergens.

The Tenderly Dermo 3 Plus Sensitive handkerchiefs have been

designed for sensitive skins; the Tenderly Dermo 3 Plus Active Care

suited to strong colds; the Tenderly Dermo 3 Plus Pure Soft are

instead ideal to reduce the reddening of the skin. The range was

thus expanded both in types and formats.

We should also mention the development of napkins and

their market launch. In the second half of the year the coloured line “Duo Prestige” was created. For the occasion,

a partnership with the Italian Academy of Etiquette was created, promoting a list of golden rules for the correct use

of the napkin at the table during Christmas lunch and dinner.

In support of these activities the TV advert dedicated to toilet paper “Tenderly Triple Soft” is back

on air, with the important novelty of adding a tail to promote the kitchen towel Tenderly Double

Roll, enhancing the concept of half-tear.

In 2014 Tenderly came on the web with the adventures of Small

Tube, the small paper roll determined to conquer the softness of our

paper. This viral spot featuring 3D animation, bright colours, direct

language and addictive jingle was a greatly appreciated by the public.

The daily publication of compelling content on a dedicated Facebook

page and on the website www.tenderly.it has led to a significant

increase in the number of fans and visitors.

TUTTO PANNOCARTA

Tutto Pannocarta, a product unique in its category, has starred in 2014

in another important project. It was, in fact, improved from the point of view

of quality and resistance in absorbency. The product is realised with Airlaid

technology, which uses short, highly resistant cellulose fibres that never come

into contact with water during the production process (dry paper) and thus

remain super absorbent.

Fibres treated in this way naturally compose a “dam” frame, offering

outstanding results: it absorbs 50% more compared to other household paper and, thanks to its exceptional resistance,

can be reused up to 10 times, compared to 1 - 2 times of the competing products.

GRAZIE NATURAL

During the year, the qualitative characteristics of the Grazie Natural product

line have been further enhanced. Communication activities have continued

in new media through the website www.grazie.it and on its Facebook page,

updated daily.

Also worth mentioning is the product placement project that has seen Tutto Pannocarta as the star

of kitchen program “Ricette all’italiana” (Italian recipes), aired on Rete Quattro and dedicated to the

kitchen and to the promotion of Italian territories.

The corporate video Tutto Pannocarta, aired on major national

networks and designed to highlight the unique features of the product,

was awarded a significant recognition: a "special star for the art

director" on the occasion of the Mediastars Prize technical awards

of advertising - that was held at the auditorium San Fedele in the

Hoepli Gallery in Milan. The video, among the more appreciated

in the audiovisual technical section, was ranked in the short list.

In 2014 a new product in the family appeared on the market; it is Tutto

Pannocarta FLASH, featuring the innovative two-layer technology: one soft,

made of cellulose and one resistant, with Airlaid technology, which makes

it even more efficient and multi-purpose.

The new born is ultra-resistant: designed to be used dry or wet, with waxes

and cleaners, maintaining its strength and ensuring long term use on all

surfaces. Cleans with or without detergents: stronger sheet is suitable for

the toughest jobs, the soft one is ideal to dry delicate surfaces also. Thanks to its special texture with Airlaid technology,

that captures dust and holds it, it is also effective on glass and wood floors, since it does not scratch and does not

leave lints.

Specifically Grazie Natural is back on-line with “La vendetta degli

alberi - parte seconda” (Revenge of the trees - part two): the viral

video that helped to raise public awareness on the issue of respect

for nature. The spot quickly exceeded 130,000 views and has

been reviewed by the major media. In this episode the avenger

tree gives a lesson to the recidivist protagonist of the first video in

a supermarket aisle using all its natural weapons to dissuade him

from purchasing a common paper and to make him aware about

environmental protection.

4.3 - TRADE SHOWS AND EVENTS In 2014 the Lucart Group participated with its own exhibition area to multiple industry events.

MIACLucca, 15-17 October 2014

Worthy of note is also the photo exhibition dedicated to the "paper" that Lucart realised for the MIAC, Mostra Internazionale dell'industria Cartaria (International Exhibition of Paper Industry), held in October in Lucca.On this occasion, the working process of tissue paper was given an artistic lecture. A photo exhibition that celebrated the world of paper through contrasts of colour, shapes and line games. An unexpected vitality where the paper mill, seen as a Museum, became art.

In 2014 Lucart Group has also won gold and silver medals by participating in the Carrefour International Autodiagnostic Développement Durable 2014 campaign related to 2013 performances. In detail, the Diecimo plant won the "Gold Medal" for outstanding commitment to sustainable development. In particular the French Novatissue and Lucart France plants won the "Silver Medal" for the good results achieved and their commitment.

It is worth pointing out the positive results of the Public Relations activities aimed at sharing the goals and the recognitions achieved with the media, the local communities in which the plants are located and the employees.

2014 was also the year of construction of several innovations designed in 2013:

• realisation and commissioning, in testing, of the first Cogeneration Plant with Integrated Eco Recovery in Italy

in the Castelnuovo di Garfagnana plant;

• optimisation of waste treatment line arising from the process of Tetra Pak® type beverage containers, in Diecimo

(the amount sent to the recovery compared to the one sent to disposal has grown significantly);

• optimisation of pulp production plants at the Porcari plant with improved processing yields and waste reduction;

• formation of a team to develop the project of using process sludge in the plastic industry;

• optimisation of dust pick-up in paper machines.

Two other important projects for the reduction of waste have been realised:

• optimisation of water process circuits in order to reduce water consumption of the 3 establishments in the province

of Lucca. The results of early 2015 confirm the effectiveness of actions taken.

• logistic optimisation. Under the business plan 5 converting lines have been moved between Group sites to reduce

the handling of goods between them making them more synergetic and specialists.

4.4 - INNOVATION, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The Company, with its history of over 60 years, has always considered innovation to be the fundamental competitive

leverage to win the main market challenges.

For this reason, we have created an internal organisation constantly focused on developing new ideas and researching

significant competitive advantages, in terms of lower production costs as well as greater ability to satisfy customer

needs.

The areas on which our greatest R&D efforts are focused are historically the following:

improving production efficiencies;

researching raw materials and alternative packaging;

researching more efficient product distribution systems (dispensers) destined to the Professional business;

reducing the environmental impact of products and processes.

With regard to the field more closely linked to the products we should mention:

• laboratory tests and researches carried out for the development of the innovative 2 layers product (Tutto Pannocarta

FLASH): one of cellulose and one in airlaid, making the classic “Tutto Pannocarta” even more multi-purpose;

• the study and implementation of the new “vortex” super absorbent embossing for all the kitchen towels in the

Tenderly range to which bamboo fibres were also added to improve resistance;

• the continuation of studies and market researches to better grasp the public's preferences and to propose new designs

and colours in line with the trends of the moment;

• analysis and testing to locate lotions and balms ideal for the diverse needs of consumers. We remind of the relaunch

of the handkerchief line Tenderly Dermo 3 Plus with active ingredients to suit all needs: from soothing neutral

balm for sensitive skin, to menthol in micro-granules to fight the strongest colds, to the essence of honey to avoid

reddening, all dermatologically tested.

4.4.1 - FIBERPACK® PROJECT

During the year, with the collaboration of Tetra Pak®,

the Fiberpack® project was further developed. The Fiberpack®

brand (www.fiberpack.com) identifies the fibrous raw material

produced through our exclusive treatment process of beverage

cartons and used to produce the references of EcoNatural and

Grazie Natural brands.

In particular, the production process of EcoNatural products uses

an innovative technology: through a physical-mechanical action,

the cellulose fibres found in the containers in beverage cartons

are separated from the polyethylene and from the aluminium without

the use of substances that are harmful to man or the environment.

Cellulose fibres are used to obtain tissue products while aluminium

and polyethylene are recovered in other industries to fabricate

artefacts with multiple destinations: from building to urban furniture,

from objects of everyday use such as pens and rulers, to mooring

piles in Venice, to pallets for goods transportation, etc.

Study, design and testing to optimise this particular production

process are still ongoing.

Environmental Savings Calculator

The Environmental Savings Calculator has received great

appreciation. In order to enhance the ecological contribution

of each EcoNatural product purchased, Lucart Professional

has created this innovative tool.

Once the EcoNatural products have been entered into the

calculator, the system generates a certificate of environmental

saving, reflecting the ecological contribution of the choices made.

A beverage carton is, on average, made from 74% cellulose fibres, 22% polyethylene and 4% aluminium.
