hello and welcome to our first product catalogue. it’s been a busy first couple of years for the restraP team. We’ve had our share of sore fingers and scraped knees, making, braking and testing our products for the ever demanding market of fixed gear specific parts. What started out as a home made back bedroom project in Bingley, West Yorkshire, has now with some much appreciated support and feedback, grown into a business based in leeds that prides itself on new and innovative designs. after the success of our first diagonal straps, we’re now able to bring new designs and higher quality products to the market. our first product, the diagonal strap, was hand-made from 100% recycled car seat belt webbing. We’ve always been keen on making our products as environmentally friendly as possible whilst ensuring our materials aren’t too wasteful; something we intend to carry on well into the future. We’d like to think that anything with our name on it is both ethically and environmentally friendly whilst continuing to offer unsurpassed value for money. all of our products are still 100% hand-made in Yorkshire by myself and a dedicated team, meaning we can keep the quality control as high as possible.

looking to the future, our aims are to continue to bring you more well thought out solutions, listen to rider feedback, improve our products accordingly and to continue to support the uk cycling scene as best we can. afterall restrap was started by riders for riders. supporting cyclists worldwide, all our products have been extensively tested under the harshest of conditions by the restrap team to ensure optimum performance and durability. during the 2 years we’ve been in business, we’ve never had a complaint or a product fault. something we’re very proud of and intend to maintain in the coming years.

We hope you enjoy using our products as much as we’ve enjoyed developing them. We hope you enjoy your ride.

SToRythe first product we ever made has hardly changed since our early designs. simple and effective, the diagonal strap offers comfort, ease of use, and unparalleled strength for hill bombers, trick riders and commuters alike who prefer a diagonal retention system.

ConSTRuCTionstiff, tight weave webbing gives the straps their own strength which arches them naturally. a 3-layer velcro fitting system ensures a perfect fit that is easily adjustable on the fly depending on the type of shoes worn. all mounting holes are fully eyeleted for extra strength meaning no rips or tears.

FiTTingWe supply these straps with full fitting kit and instructions. We also include large washers to spread the forces exerted while riding. these straps will fit any pedal with holes for reflectors or clips whether they be caged, platform or touring etc.

SToRyafter the success of our diagonal design straps we had requests to produce a horizontal system. after a few months of testing and numerous design tweaks we believe these to be one of the strongest straps available on the market offering features other straps don’t have.

ConSTRuCTionthe stiff, tighter woven webbing that threads through the pedal naturally arches meaning that you don’t have to reach down and pull the strap over your toes like some systems. We also added the ‘flag-stitch’ to the inside of the strap adding extra upright strength meaning the strap doesn’t interfere with your crank arm. We decided to stick with our 3-layer velcro system as this has never failed and we’re confident that it never will. combined with our plated buckles holding the webbing in place these straps are built to last.

FiTTingthe straps fit the same as traditional horizontal systems: through the pedal horizontally either side of the axle. Buckles should be worn to the outside of the pedal.

SToRyour new hip Pouch is designed to hold your everyday tools and essentials securely whilst keeping them clean and dry. We try to keep everything produced at restraP nice and subtle, hence the simple black canvas.

ConSTRuCTionPeople use space in different ways, therefore we decided to keep the main compartment large and free from dividers. the industrial canvas is lined with 18oz tarpaulin making it fully waterproof. We also included a small zip-up pocket under the flap for other valuables. many people like to carry a lock as well as a tool pouch which is why we made the hip Pouch fully compatible with our lock holsters.

FiTTingthe pouch easily slips onto any belt and sits nice and flush to the rider. our lock holsters easily attach through the loops of the hip Pouch and work by wedging the lock between the holster and belt.

When we make products our main aim is to satisfy the rider’s needs. But there’s no point creating a solution that doesn’t last, that’s why strength and durability come a close second in the design process. stuff has got to last, and the only way to see if our products are going to last is to test them. that’s why we send our products all over the uk, giving them to riders we know will put them through their paces. We encourage rough and tumble, tell them to give the products as much abuse as possible. then we listen to the feedback; what works, what doesn’t, what could be improved upon. then we hit the sewing machines again. Being a small company that make everything in-house means we can make adjustments and update designs easily. and only when everyone is completely happy with the finished article, do we lock ourselves away for a few weeks and make a larger quantity for you lot. We hope you enjoy using our stuff as much as we enjoyed developing it. then all the pin-pricked fingers, frayed tempers and effort will have been worth it.

Born From messenger roots.Proving it’s not grim uP north.

Born from manchester’s bike messenger trade, cantgoslo is inspired by the love/hate relationship between bikes and urban cycling culture. riding eight hours a day to pay the rent, we decided take our experience and develop it. We have grown from two core founder members to a loose knit collective of riders with a penchant for street racing, inebriation and track bikes. We also encompass a clothing brand and alleycat race organisation, whilst supporting

the north West fixed gear scene because...life’s too short!

started back in early 2010 in the rainy, northern town of Preston, deaf Pigeon was created to combine a career in web design and a love of fixed gear bikes. sometimes people ask “Why deaf Pigeon?”, and if i’m honest, it’s just

because the two words make up my initials.
