“I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning

himself: ‘You have chastised me, and I was chastised, Like an untrained bull;

Restore me, and I will return, For You are the Lord

my God. Jer 31:18

glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit

hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and

grounded in love. Eph 3:16,17

St. Ambrosios

“He has come to the mount of Olives to plant the small olives with

his heavenly power he is the heavenly Sower, and every plant he sows in God’s house declares,

(Psalm 52:8) “But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God, I

trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.””

Restoration

1.  Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it . Lk 19:45

2. and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to hear Him. Lk 19:48

3. But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” Lk 19:40

Warning

43 For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an

embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, 44 and level you, and your children within you, to the

ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another,

because you did not know the time of your visitation.” Lk

19:43,44

 Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the

trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. 19 Then they said to Moses, “You

speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us,

lest we die.”20 And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.” 21 So the

people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where

God was. Ex 20:18-21

St. Ambrose

God does not want to have His temple a place of gathering for the sellers, but a place of sanctification. He wants to assure us that priesthood is

not fulfilled through trading in religion, but rather by

voluntary and free giving.

Our Theme in the Passion week

 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and

dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much

grain. Jn 12:24

This week's spiritual exercise

① Search your heart, where do you need the cleaning?

② Dedicate this week to seek real death of your Old man

③ sit with your father of confession or your spiritual mentor to take death of the old man and resurrection of the new man
