•Upon exposure of a broad spectrum UV light to a hydrated quad-metallic coated cell, a catalytic process begins in which Advanced Oxidation Products (AOP’s / Oxidizers) are produced (i.e. hydroxyls; superoxide anions; hydroperoxyls)

•AOP’s are extremely reactive in making contact with organic compounds both natural and man-made (i.e. viruses; mold; malodors); when contact is made, oxidation occurs breaking up complex compounds to more stable substances such as water vapor and carbon dioxide

•Unlike a filter, the air does not have to pass through the Advanced Oxidation Cell to be treated; the oxidation “chain reaction” causes the AOP’s to seek out the organics and as a result the air and the surfaces are treated external to the system, or at the contaminant source

•Eliminates/mitigates (does not mask) a wide range of malodors and airborne contaminants

Facility, Common Areas, & Public Spaces HVAC Ductwork & AHU Systems

These Systems are designed to be installed directly into the HVAC ductwork, Roof Top Units, Fan Coil Units, and Air Handling Units treating the entire facility/school, or specific common areas and public spaces (e.g. Hallways, Gym, Cafeteria ); Unit configurations include 9" and 14" Singles, 14” Dual, and 20” & 35” from singles up to four Cells; size and number of Cells recommended for a given area will be based on: air handling specs (CFM or Tonnage); square or cubic footage; organic load (e.g. smoking vs. non-smoking); room capacity; type of materials (e.g. absorptive vs. hard surfaces), and area layout/structure (available in 110V & 220V)

Rooms & Any Common/Public Areas Rapid Room Recovery OAS

This System utilizes two 9” Advanced Oxidation Cells, one absorbing Cartridge, and a 100 CFM blower to quickly distribute oxidizers into the problem area.

The targeted applications are any room, classroom, common area, or public space that has had a contamination event or has a heavy odor that must be eliminated in a expeditious manner.

It is not an ozone generator, and is designed for use in occupied spaces.

Effective against viruses, allergens, mold spores, and other air and surface contaminants.

Effective in eliminating cigarette/marijuana smoke, food/spice odors, must/mildew odors, VOC’s, and all other general malodors.

This significantly increases the application of the Unit beyond individual rooms to virtually any common area or public space within a facility that may be experiencing a contamination event or an odor, without having to block off or shut down the area (e.g. classroom, hallways; restrooms).

Replaces legacy technology like ozone generators, fogging equipment, and chemical masking agents.

Individual Areas & Common Areas “Dual Plug” Portable Plug-In APS

This System utilizes one 5” Advanced Oxidation Cell and a 10 CFM fan to disperse oxidizers into a problem room or area 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The target application is any room, office, common area, or public space that has had a contamination event, or has an ongoing or persistent odor (keeps the room or area odor neutral) .

It is not an ozone generator, and is designed for use in occupied spaces.

Technical: What Makes the Advanced Oxidation Cell Effective?

•Titanium dioxide is the strong oxidative decomposing power of positive holes, which is greater than the reducing power of electrons excited to the conduction band•The surface of Cell attracts/contains water; when this water is oxidized by positive holes, hydroxyls (• OH), which have strong oxidative decomposing power, are formed•Hydroxyls react with organic matter; if oxygen is present when this process takes place, the intermediate radicals in the organic compounds and oxygen molecules can undergo radical chain reactions and consume oxygen•The organic matter eventually decomposes, ultimately becoming carbon dioxide and water vapor •Under some conditions, organic compounds can react directly with the positive holes, resulting in oxidative decomposition

Technical: What Makes the Advanced Oxidation Cell Effective?

• When light is absorbed by titanium dioxide, two carriers -- electrons (e-) and positive holes (h+) -- are formed; in ordinary substances, electrons and positive holes recombine quickly; however, in a titanium dioxide photocatalyst they recombine more slowly; the percentage of carrier recombination has a major effect on the photocatalytic efficiency

•As oxygen is an easily reducible substance, if oxygen is present, the reduction of oxygen takes place instead of hydrogen generation•The reduction of oxygen results in the generation of superoxide anions •Superoxide anions attach to the intermediate product in the oxidative reaction, changing to hydrogen peroxide/hydroperoxyls and then to water
