Any party can take advantage of the fabulous ASLAM SUITE which will take up to 34 people comfortably – and give you the privacy to let your hair down. sTARTER -INdIANonion BhajiIndian Ocean’s classic, lightly spiced, deep fried onion with a light gram flour batter and fresh coriander.
Aloo TikkiPotato patties spiced and enhanced with pomegranate seeds and deep fried in a fine coat of gram flour batter.
vegetable samosaPieces of tender diced potato with carrot & peas, combined with fresh coriander and delicate spices in a piping hot crispy pastry wrap.
Chicken spring RollsTender pieces of chicken breast, shredded cabbage, grated carrots cooked together with delicate spices in a piping hot crispy pastry roll.
shami kebabsA delicately spiced patty of tender lamb with lentils, coated in a light egg batter and gently pan fried.

Irani Chicken BotiGenerous pieces of barbecued chicken that are especially juicy and succulent with a light and mild spicy barbecue flavour, reminiscent of an original Kashmiri recipe.
MAINCoURsE – INdIANYour choice of Main Courses is from the list of Fillings below, cooked in the style and spice strength that suits your palate. Available with Chicken, Vegetables or Lamb.
Tikka Masala The nations favourite Indian main course, mild and creamy with a hint of coconut and a ‘natural’ deep red colour.
korma The traditional korma requires long slow cooking of marinated meat braised on a very low heat until all the juices condense down into a thick sauce. Served with ground almonds, coconut and thick cream.
Adrak Simply ‘chicken ginger’ only begins to describe this dish, an eclectic mix of colour with strips of fresh chicken in a ginger sauce with fine shavings of real ginger, spring onions and fresh coriander.
Balti Prepared in an hot Indian-style wok with fresh green chillies, garlic, ginger and tomatoes cooked quickly in a manner reminiscent of a stir-fry.
gorkali A delightfully spicy Nepalese dish of red and green capsicum, whole dried red chillies, fresh tomatoes and our special chilli sauce.
Afghani A colourful, spicy sauce of red and green capsicum, onions, fresh green chillies, ginger and garlic.
dopiaza The name “dopiaza” broadly translates as “double onions” and classic Indian dopiazas use onions in two different ways, fried and boiled. Our version has small fried pieces of onion in the sauce and then larger chunks of lightly cooked onion added towards the end of the cooking.
sagwala Sagwala is a medium strength curry cooked with lots of fresh spinach leaves, fresh green chillies, garlic, ginger and tomatoes in a medium balti sauce prepared in the chef’s own style.
Acharee Like a balti dish in preparation, with the addition of a light pickle spice gives this dish a fresh and a slightly tangy flavour. Punjabi karahi Sauce-glazed chunks of the filling of your choice, pan-fried and garnished with fresh coriander and green chillies.
Rogan Josh An authentic Rogan Josh is delicately spiced and cooked to its distinctive deep red colour with the use of sweet pimentos, capsicums and tomatoes.
Bhuna This is first and foremost a style of cooking in which the spices are gently fried to bring out their flavour before they are used in the recipe. Bhuna dishes themselves are made with meat cooked in its own juices, for deep strong flavours but very little sauces.
Handi A medium spice Indian dish flavoured with methi leaves, exotic spices, onions and fresh garlic in a tomato and creamy yoghurt sauce.
Madras A southern Indian dish with hot and spicy taste. Prepared with fresh herbs and tomato puree.
dish of the day Wholesome, traditional dishes, cooked with a passion for age-old recipes and cooking methods. These dishes could include Nehari, Haleem, Sheb Ghosht, Chinoti Kunna and many others. Your waiter will give you full details when he comes to your table.

OPTION AIf you do not like choices this is heaven for you, its simple; all you have to do is enjoy the set-starter, set-maincourse, rice and nan.
This is a set menu. A chicken tikka and onion bhaji platter served between 4, choice of Lamb Rogan Josh or Chicken Tikka Massalla for main-course, as many rice and nan as required.

HOw TO BOOkWe want your Christmas Celebrations to be a great success, so we have developed a very simple formula to help you choose the right dining option for your family or works party or just a get together.Follow these simple steps to make your selection.
1. Select which dining option you prefer. Option A, Option B or Option C.
2. Complete the booking form stating clearly the number attending and if the Wine and/or Weekend Evening Booking supplements are required. Include the quantity of each dish with the requested fillings as shown.
3. Include the date of your booking.
4. Return the completed form with a £5 deposit per person to the Indian Ocean Restaurant.
5. If you wish to book on Christmas Eve at £15 per person or Christmas Day at £17.50 per person or New Years Eve at £20 per person. There is a 50% discount for any children under 12, dining before 6pm throughout the Festive Celebrations.
WINE. You have the option to supplement your selection for an additional £4 per person to receive a bottle of wine between 2 people.
WEEkENd EvENINg BookINgs. There is a £3 supplement per person if your Party is seated after 5.30pm Friday or Saturday.
