• Effective Dates by academic year – 8/16-8/15• All graduate students, postdoctoral researcher

associates, research specialists, undergraduate students working on active research projects– 5 hours initial– 3 hours renewal

• Student’s graduate academic advisor at annual evaluation

• Principal Investigator• Contracts and Grants/Graduate School• Granting agencies (currently just NSF & NIH)

Topics

• Human subjects• Authorship/Data management• Conflict of Interest (COI)• Other topics pertinent to the research project (as

determined by the PI) or the student’s academic program (as determined by the advisor)

• MA topics TBD by departments over next 6 months
