HOW TO ROOT OUT LUST

Romans 12:6-8We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

2 Corinthians 8:7But just as you excel in everything- in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us-see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

Ephesians 4:28He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.

SCRIPTURESGenesis 2:15The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

Proverbs 6:4-11Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids.Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler. How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man.

Proverbs 10:3-5The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry but he thwarts the craving of the wicked. Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth. He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.

Proverbs 23:17-18Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

Proverbs 20:4A sluggard does not plow in season; so at harvest time he looks but finds nothing.

Proverbs 20:13Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare.

Proverbs 21:25The sluggard's craving will be the death of him, because his hands refuse to work.
