2 Scan your cases (models and impressions) and evaluate your preps.

3 Scan each other. Scan the teeth as pre-ops to get practice scanning in the mouth.

4 Check the online customer resources described below.

Before Integration

Before your system is delivered and installed, you can practice with the system online with GoToMyPC.

The E4D Post Training Learning Lab uses GoToMyPC online service to connect a system at E4D University to the computer In your offi ce or at home. A high-speed Internet connection is strongly recommended.

Note: This is a different set of computers, email, and password than what you may have used for training before coming to E4D University.

The E4D Post Training Learning Lab is intended to provide access to the software for practice before your system is installed. Use the online exercises to practice margin marking and design. If you would like to follow specifi c instructions for these patients, download the Exercise Workbook on the Resources page of our website.

1 Open your Internet browser.

2 Go to http://www.gotomypc.com.

3 Click Log In.

4 Type [email protected] in the Email fi eld.

5 Type posttraining1 as the password. The password is case sensitive.

6 Click Log In.

7 Select D4D Technologies as the Account and click Go.

A list of the Learning Lab computers is displayed.

8 Click one of the Connect buttons.

Note: When a button says In Session, that computer is in use. If there are no available computers, try again later.


9 If this is the fi rst time for GoToMyPC on your computer, you will be prompted to install the GoToMyPC software. Follow the prompts to install the software.

Note: Your browser’s security may block the download and require you to click the warning and select Download.

10 Type posttraining1 as the Access Code.

11 You may see warnings about the screen size and/or sound. If the sound has been muted on the lab computer, click Yes to turn on the speakers. Sound is only necessary when watching the videos.

Note: If the Color Quality Settings on your PC are less than Highest (32 bit), the colors on the E4D software screens will appear streaked and will not match the example pictures.

Before you close your session, please EXIT the Design Center software on the Home page. This will reset the data for the next user.


Information ResourcesThere are many resources available for gathering information.

If you have not already registered on our website, go to www.e4d.com/eco and enter your information.

Log In to www.e4d.com/myaccount or click Customer Login in the top right corner of the website. Click Go to Member Resources after you log in.

The Resources page (www.e4d.com/resources) includes:

• Documentation available for download. Printed copies are available for $25 each and can be ordered by emailing [email protected].

• Create/Edit your Dentist Finder information

What to Expect When Your Ivoclar Representative VisitsThe Ivoclar reps go over the contents of the IPS Empress CAD Kit that comes with each machine, and this allows them to cover the following:

• When to use the different types of blocks: HT vs. LT vs. Multi

• The adhesive bonding process with Multilink Automix cement

• Polishing ceramic restorations with Optrapol

• Accessories that can make the CAD CAM process easier, such as OptraGate and OptraDam

From there, other topics are possible based on what other materials/equipment your offi ce purchased:

• Basic glazing or characterization
