The Sierra Madre Oriental is a mountain
range of about 1350 km long that extends
from southern Rio Grande and runs parallel
to the Gulf of Mexico to join the Neo-
volcanic Axle separating North and
Central America.
The Sierra Madre Oriental runs through the
states of Coahuila, Nuevo León,
Tamaulipas, Texas, San Luis Potosi, Hidalgo,Tlaxcala, Veracruz, among others.
