Screws Robust range 9 December 2013
The screws supplied in the vandal resistant fittings included in the Robust range are standard pin
torque screws. There is no need to supply the Designplan screwdriver for these fittings.
Note that this applies to the listed item numbers in the Robust catalogue only. Other item numbers
within the same fitting family are still equipped with the snake eye screw and the special screwdriver is
required.

The Helios LED fitting in fact the same fitting as Fagerhult’s Azur LED. This applies to both the post top
and bollard version of the fitting. When quoting and creating sales orders please use the Azur LED
fitting instead.
Item numbers LED products 21 November 2012
Please note that the item numbers for all LED products listed in the recently released pricelist are
invalid. We’re currently waiting on updated information regarding the codes and prices for the LED
products but we’ve been advised to consider the item numbers listed in the LED Lighting brochure as
the correct codes.
Emergency lighting 12 December 2012
All fittings wired with emergency lighting distributed in Australia need to comply with Australian
standards. It’s our responsibility as a supplier to make sure the products we supply do. Failing to do so
will jeopardise people’s safety and we, as a supplier, risk getting fined as well. European and
Australian standards differ so we can’t bring in Designplan’s emergency wired fittings without first
having them tested and approved.
Since it’s a time consuming and costly process to get the fittings tested and approved each individual
project has to be assessed to determine whether we should go through the process of getting the
fittings approved or not.

EmLED emergency 18 June 2013
Whilst the EmLED used by Designplan is the same manufacture as we use in Australia there are
fundamental differences in both the product and the testing methods used in the UK. Because our
emergency standards are antiquated and unique only to Australia the EmLED has been modified
accordingly to comply. The battery test we perform on these EmLED is also different.
The implications of this are that because we are talking about an emergency enclosed within the
luminaire, technically speaking we should be performing a new battery test to Australian standards.
This also follows on to the photometry that will also need to be retested if required. The cost implication
of this is $1500 for a battery test and $800 for the photometric classification.
Therefor each individual project has to be assessed to determine whether we should go through the
process of getting the fittings approved or not.

There is not enough room in the FSRDL 3 to fit a 2x26W solution.
Lamps for Tuscan 21 November 2012
The Tuscan fitting is not supplied with lamp. The lamp needs to be added on the order separately.

For vandal resistant fittings supplied with tamper resistant screws a screwdriver should be included on
the order.
The item number for the screw driver is DP-R00012. This applies to the following families of fittings;
Tuscan, Parkalux and Monitor T5.

Please note that the Sportalux and Sterilux fittings are exactly the same fitting.

Warranty 19 December 2012
Standard warranty on all Designplan’s fittings is one year. The ranges of LED products have an
extended warranty of five years. The warranty covers the LED, the electronic driver and general
mechanical components of the fixture (e.g body and gear tray).
Both warranties are replacement warranties and do not cover any labour costs involved in replacing
the faulty products.
