Resolution to Commission the Incumbent Buklod Atenista
Ambassador and the Department of External Affairs in Training the
Succeeding Ambassador and Trainees
A resolution to commission the Incumbent Buklod Atenista
Ambassador and the Department of External Affairs in training the
incoming Buklod Atenista Ambassador and Trainees in the fields of
diplomacy and Buklod Atenista responsibility, and to hold both
units accountable for the effective transitioning and delegating of
tasks to the incoming Ambassador and Trainees. Authored By: Jann

President Whereas, the Sanggunian ng mga Mag-aaral ng mga Paaralang
Loyola ng Ateneo de Manila is founded on the principles of
representation, participatory democracy, accountability,
decentralization, consultation, and efficient and effective service
towards the holistic formation of the Atenean.1 Whereas, the
Sanggunian is the official representative of the student body
recognized by the Loyola Schools, and shall have the right to
determine its own policies and programs on matters within its
jurisdiction;2 Whereas, the Sanggunian is tasked with representing
itself to the Buklod Atenista;3 Whereas, the Sanggunian is tasked
with sending delegates to Buklod Atenista assemblies with the
objectives of discussing pertinent issues within and beyond the
Buklod network, deliberating and approving proposed resolutions and
common action plans for the school year, and exchanging of ideas
and strategies for effective and meaningful service for the Ateneo
student body;4 Whereas, the Sanggunian shall be holding open
applications to the general constituency of the Sanggunian for the
positions of Buklod Atenista Ambassador and Trainees; Whereas, the
Central Board shall be deciding and creating a shortlist of those
most eligible for the positions of Ambassador and Trainees among
the pool of applicants; Whereas, the Central Board shall be
appointing the incoming Buklod Atenista Ambassador and Trainees
from the shortlist of eligible applicants; Whereas, the Sanggunian
recognizes the need for the incumbent Buklod Atenista Ambassador to
effectively transition and delegate her tasks and duties to the
succeeding Ambassador, and furthermore, to the incoming Trainees;
Whereas, the Sanggunian recognizes the Department of External
Affairs is accountable for training and sending Sanggunian
delegates to external functions outside of the Loyola Schools;
Wherefore, be it resolved that the incumbent Buklod Atenista
Ambassador and the Department of External Affairs shall be
commissioned in training the incoming Buklod Atenista Ambassador
and Trainees in the field of diplomacy as well as educate them on
Buklod Atenista responsibilities and affairs; Wherefore, be it
further resolved that the incumbent Ambassador shall be accountable
for the proper transitioning of responsibilities, training the
succeeding Ambassador in resolution crafting, legislation,
diplomacy

and other matters in the area of the Buklod Atenista, and
evaluating his/her performance as the succeeding Ambassador;
Wherefore, be it further resolved that the Department of External
Affairs shall be accountable for training the incoming Trainees in
the resolution crafting, legislation, diplomacy and other matters
in the area of the Buklod Atenista, and evaluating their individual
performances as Trainees; Wherefore, be it further resolved that
the incumbent Ambassador and the Department of External Affairs
shall present their plans and protocols in training the succeeding
Ambassador and Trainees to the Central Board; Wherefore, be it
further resolved that the aforementioned training plans and
protocols shall be approved by the Central Board through a simple
majority vote; Wherefore, be it further resolved that the training
shall commence immediately after the appointment and announcement
of the succeeding Ambassador and Trainees; Wherefore, be it further
resolved that the incumbent Ambassador and the Department of
External Affairs shall present updates regarding the progress of
the training and performance evaluations of the incoming Ambassador
and Trainees to the Central Board every month, or whenever deemed
necessary by the Central Board; Wherefore, be it further resolved
that the training for the succeeding Ambassador shall last until
the incumbent Ambassador has officially relinquished her duties,
fully transitioned her responsibilities to the succeeding
Ambassador, and left her office; Wherefore, be it further resolved
that the training for the Trainees shall last until the end of the
school year, or whenever the Central Board deems that the Trainees
have been trained sufficiently enough; Wherefore, be it finally
resolved that, with the approval of the Central Board by a simple
majority vote, this resolution shall take effect immediately.
