Extreme Heat
With the extreme heat and humidity we’ve been having lately, remember to stay safe and stay cool! As per Ministry of Health Directives, LTC Homes are not permitted to host indoor visits; at this time visits remain outdoors. We appreciate the challenges this presents for many of you given the extreme weather we’ve been experiencing and we’ll do our best to make everyone as comfortable as possible. Please keep in mind that some residents may not tolerate prolonged visits due to the heat. If during a visit at GVL, residents or families experience symptoms associated with heat stress, please advise the staff supervising the visit. Reminder: All visitors may park in the GVL parking lot and are to look for directional signage to enter and be screened in through the Senior Support Services/Hearing Right door.
