Respondents are recruited to attend a
nearby cinema auditorium. We can run
groups or conduct interviews to gain
verbal responses after the showing.
Hiring an auditorium outside normal
cinema hours is relatively inexpensive.

As an alternative to individual interviews or
groups, we can capture responses to a large
number of viewers in an auditorium. This is
suitable when there is a lot of content - a pilot

Nonverbal analysis in 3-5 working days on average, comparable

It is now commonplace to identify emotions on webcam
using computer algorithms, usually programmed to
recognise the seven ‘basic’ emotions.
Using trained coders with the natural human ability to
instantly recognise subtle and mixed emotions is a more
flexible and powerful method. In analysing video footage
we look at each respondent’s facial expressions and
body language at each second. This builds into a detailed
picture of which communications or product concepts
provoke an emotional response.
The analysis detects ten key emotions - see below:
