Revolutionize the paradigm of wastewater treatment: instead of a waste product costly to dispose of, consuming energy and producin g sludge (based on activated sludge, a technology invented i n 1914 in Manchester), transform it into a valuable resource: Biomethane

4 Complementary projects( each with specific partners):

• CENIT VIDA (CDTI): scientific development of new

methods of cultivation, harvesting and transformation of microalgae

• innpronta (MICINN) for harvesting and downstream handling of algae

• FP7 projects•All-gas, coordinated by aqualia, for a 10 ha demonstration •SWAT with SMEs led by Salsnes

(Norway, with Czech and Polish partners).
