PHILOSOPHY:Our educational philosophy is to provide a clinical and holistic approach to therapeutic massage. Not only is massage an excellent form of relaxation, it is also an important part of a healthy lifestyle. With the medical research that has been conducted, massage has become an accepted complement to many different treatments prescribed by physicians. It is our goal to teach you how to evaluate your client’s stresses and strains and develop a holistic massage program to help alleviate those stressful conditions.

CLASS SIZE:• Our student to faculty ratio is 15 to 1. (This is based upon number of total students and faculty and

Does Not include teaching assistants.)• Average class size is between 8 to 16 students.

FLEXIBILITY IN SCHEDULING:• Go at your own pace.• Offering both day and night classes, you can choose the number of classes that you want to take during each

10 week term. You can even mix day and night classes.• Classes are held Monday through Thursday.• Day classes are at 8:30, 10:30 and 1:15 and end at 3:00.• Evening classes are at 6:50 and 8:45 and end at 10:30.

at the completion of the 39 credits/780 clock hours.• Students can earn certifications in Acutherapy and Spinal Touch.

Our primary goal is to offer you a quality education. Our interest is in working with “individuals” and not “numbers”. Our desire to grow is measured and in keeping current with the field of massage as opposed to overcrowding our classrooms.

Accreditation. Myotherapy College of Utah is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).

Flexibility in Scheduling. Students ‘go at their own pace’ by choosing to take as many classes as they want during each ten-week term. Students can also mix day and evening classes.

Internship Student Clinic. Similar to a real working clinic, our Student Clinic allows students to work on clients and practice what they are learning. Clients are surveyed and encouraged to give the students constructive feedback after each massage to help students improve.

Choice in Elective Classes. Students have the freedom to choose specific classes that will help them develop their own specialty. You are not required to choose your specialty prior to taking your first classes.

Continuing Education. Myotherapy College of Utah is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a Continuing Education Provider. #450162-06

Acceptance of Transfer Credits. If you have taken comparable classes at another accredited college and received a minimum of a C grade you may be able to transfer those classes into our curriculum. This feature has saved many students considerable time and money.

Online Video Library. We are the only college to offer Massagetutor.com to all of our students as a free resource allowing students to review the full massage protocol for 13 modalities of massage.

Competitive Tuition. As you compare our rates to other schools you’ll see that you can save a considerable amount of money and receive a better education.

There are many options for employment in the field of Massage Therapy.

Myotherapy College of Utah gives every student a well-rounded and

comprehensive education to cover the diversity required in the working world.

One area of growth in the employment arena is within the clinical setting.

Physicians are now referring more patients to Massage Therapists to aid in the

recovery of an injury or illness. Our Clinical approach teaches you to understand

how the body is designed to function but also how it will dysfunction. To

provide this understanding students will take a minimum of three Anatomy/

Physiology classes and three Pathology classes. This training allows our Licensed

Massage Therapists to actually enhance their client’s specific healing process.

Whether you seek employment within a medical setting, private practice or spa/

resort, your clinical education is invaluable in relating to all of your clients’ needs.

Combined with the clinical aspects we also provide students with a holistic approach. We help you to understand

that the human body along with its mental and emotional processes is one entity. What affects one area will also

affect the whole. In order to facilitate this understanding, Myotherapy College will teach you a minimum of

seventeen massage modalities along with complementary health classes including Nutrition, Homeopathy and

Herbology. Beyond the minimum seventeen modalities, every student is allowed five credits of elective classes to

complete their graduation requirements. This freedom of choice allows students to develop a massage specialization

of their own choice. We do not make you decide your field specialty prior to ever taking a class.

The education you receive at Myotherapy College of Utah goes beyond the typical training found at some schools.

You will receive your education within a professional environment that personalizes every student’s training. Our

small class sizes provide you the one-on-one attention that you should expect and deserve.
