Information on After School Care(for students in Grades Junior Kindergarten to Six)

Sacred Hearts Academy offers an After School Care (ASC) Program for students ingrades Junior Kindergarten (JK) to six. In the ASC, there is an adult monitor and anAcademy student assistant for every 12 students in Junior Kindergarten, every 16students in Senior Kindergarten and every 20 students in grades one to six.

HOURS:n 2:15 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridayn 1 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Students in grades JK to three are dropped off in the Student Center by their teach-ers to be checked into ASC; students in grades four to six will proceed to theStudent Center after their classes at 2:30 p.m.

PROGRAM:Activities in After School Care include homework supervision, silent reading, arts andcrafts, quiet games, enrichment activities, outdoor games, free play, unstructuredtime, rest, and occasionally, a movie or a documentary.

SNACKS:A nutritious snack will be served between 3 and 3:30 p.m. The cost is included inthe ASC fees.

PICK-UP:Parents need to sign their daughter(s) out when they pick them up from ASC. A dri-ver’s license or state identification must be shown during pick-up, and children willonly be released to those authorized to do so.

LATE PICK-UP:For any late pick-up, an additional charge of $5 per quarter of an hour or a fractionthereof will be charged. The late fee can be paid in cash or checks when the stu-dent(s) are picked up.

FEES:The fee for ASC for the 2012 to 2013 school year is $1,700.
