2016-06-08 REQUEST FOR TENDER MAYAN TEMPLE ROOF REPLACEMENT AND HEATING SYSTEM UPGRADE RFT #01 (2016-05) ADDENDUM # 3 This addendum shall be incorporated into, and form part of RFT # 01 (2016-05) and take precedence over all requirements of the previously issued bid documents including plans. This addendum must be signed by the bidder (signing officer) in the appropriate space and must be attached to the Form for submission by the bidder. This Addendum consists of two (2) pages and the documents listed below. 1. Add: Designated Substance Report and Hazardous Building Materials Survey Report prepared by Golder Associate dated 2016-05-05. 2. Add to: Scope of Work: Privacy screening is to be added to three sections of the Jaguar fencing beginning at the west side of the building. The privacy screen has to be installed from grade to the top of the fence. Installation must be neat and tidy as it will be visible from the zoomobile. 3. Delete Forms: Form I Appendix III Itemized Prices Replace with: Form I Appendix III Itemized Prices, Addendum #3 4. Question: The voltage for the new equipment (none specified on the drawings) and existing on site. At the time of the site visit we did not gain access to the electrical panels. Answer: The voltage is 120/240 single phase. 5. Question: Will Engineered Air be accepted as equivalent for the AHU’s? Answer: We are very limited in the available space for these RTUs. Engineered Air is an acceptable alternative only if: a) The weight is the same or less than the specified units; b) The dimensions are the same or less that the specified units; c) The access for maintenance are in the same general location as the specified units; d) And of course, the performance is the same. 6. ADDENDUM # 3

This addendum shall be incorporated into, and form part of RFT # 01 (2016-05) and take precedence over all

requirements of the previously issued bid documents including plans. This addendum must be signed by the

bidder (signing officer) in the appropriate space and must be attached to the Form for submission by the

bidder. This Addendum consists of two (2) pages and the documents listed below.

1. Add:

Designated Substance Report and Hazardous Building Materials Survey Report prepared by Golder

2. Add to: Scope of Work:

d) And of course, the performance is the same.

6. Question:

Is there an existing building automation system that the new equipment is being tied into?

Answer:

At present there is no building automation, but there may be one installed in the near future.

What are the working hours?

Answer:

General working hours 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. If required arrangements could be made through the

Toronto Zoo Project Manager/Supervisor to work outside of these hours.

8. Question:

How do we coordinate a return site visit?

Answer:

An additional site meeting could be arranged by contacting the Toronto Zoo, Project Manager.

9. Instruction to Bidders:

Items 13.3 and 13.4 are not applicable for this tender.

Receipt of the Addendum shall be acknowledged as part of your submission.

The Board of Management of the Toronto Zoo reserves the right to reject any or all Quotations or to accept

any quotation, should it deem such action to be in its interests.
