REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL WEST WINDSOR-PLAINSBORO REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
SPECIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Special Education Program Coordinator
The West Windsor-Plainsboro School District invites qualified consultants to submit a proposal for the following position with the goals of enhancing
services to students/families and compliance with state and federal guidelines
Provide guidance and oversight to identified projects as determined by
the Director of Special Education, Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services and Planning and Superintendent.
Provide ongoing consultation/training to district teachers, child study team, and related services staff (OT/PT/Speech) regarding various issues, teaching strategies, inclusive practices, differentiation, least restrictive programming, Code (NJAC 6A:14) interpretation, and, compliance issues (NJAC 6A: 32), etc.
Review the implementation of the Special Education Program Review to ensure that measures were taken with fidelity.
Research specific special education issues/topics as needed The successful bidder should have direct experience in the field of Special Education as a Special Education Administrator, as well as familiarity with current research and effective practices in Special Education. The successful bidder will work in a consultant capacity, directly with the Special Services Administrative team. The timeline is as follows:
June 2015 – Dissemination of RFP, Proposal Submission, and Awarding of Contract for initial date of August 1, 2015.
August 2015 through June 2016 – Biweekly meetings with Director of Special Services, as well as other district administrators as appropriate
June 2016– Completion of established goals Prospective bidders may direct inquiries and/or submit proposals (including professional vitae) must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Request for Proposal” Special Education Program Coordinator to Dr. David Aderhold, Superintendent of Schools at 505 Village Road West, West Windsor, NJ 08550 by 4:00 pm on June 24, 2015.
The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Any proposal submitted will be binding for 60 days subsequent to the date of the RFP opening. Respondents are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, C. 127. N.J.A.C. 17:27 N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. Respondents are required to submit a NJ Business Registration Certificate.
