Organic Gardening: A back-to-basics guide tosustainable living.

The Man behind the new American Revolution.

    Ron Paul MeetUp AUSTIN

From the EditorWhen this nation was founded so many years ago, a dreamwas promised; a dream of freedom, happiness and the

pursuit thereof. That dream has been threatened by a small groupof individuals. These individuals do not reside in the mountainsof Afghanistan. They do not reside in Iraq. The individuals who

threaten our freedom are on our soil. These people are electedofficials, heads of intelligence agencies, corporate CEOs, leadersof foundations and organizations. These individuals are hell-benton preserving their power at the expense of the American people. They keep us entertained with TV shows and music videosdepicting an unattainable life. While we chase the illusive carrotsthat they dangle, they track us, control us and use us for theirend game. What is their end game? Power consolidated into thehands of one global authority.

These people decided they would indenture the Americanpeople into a live of servitude. The result of their actions hasresulted in our freedom becoming an illusion, and our happinessfleeting. They would tap the American peoples energy for their

own benefit, the lifeblood of the people trapped within a codedsystem of control, a system without individual choice, onlycontrol. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Income Tax, andnow socialized health care what happened to the promise offreedom?

The promise of freedom has been remembered and is beingrevived within the pages of this magazine. It is being rekindledacross this land in Meetup Groups, RTR nexus points, LoneLantern Chapters, WeAreChange Truth Squads, Freedom ForceChapters, 9/11 Truth groups, We the People Congress, and manyother collections of freedom loving patriots.

This revival of Americanism has many flavors, but at the core,

the promise of freedom drives each one. Thepromise of freedom is what our foundingfathers carried deep within themselves. This

promise is dependent on those who have thecourage to throw off the yolk of tyranny.

Preserving the promise is not merely standingwhen you hear the Star Spangled Banner, reciting the pledge of allegiance, or attendingthe local 4th of July parade and town picnic. Being an Americanis not allowing your rights to lay dormant. Being an American isforever exercising those rights and remaining on alert becausethose people will try to usurp your rights. When we see ourinalienable rights being attacked by that small group of individualswhat do we do? If we consider ourselves Americans, we jump intoaction and move to preserve the promise.

Whether the action required is calling congress, taking to thestreets, participating in nationwide strikes, confronting people withcameras, handing out DVDs, drafting legislation, passing out this

magazine, screening films, calling the local and national media, supporting Ron Paul, running for office, or whatever it may be,find your role to play in the Great American Restoration and takeaction to preserve the promise of freedom.

It is my pleasure to present to you our second issue of RepublicMagazine. Now that it is in your hands, use it to preserve the

    promise.

    4 REPUBLIC MAGAZINE - www.republicmagazine.com

    by: Samuel Anthony Ettaro

Welcome, friends to anew department withinRepublic Magazine that tellsstories of Americans who arehaving success at buildingcommunity, keeping theirfocus on family, exploring neweconomic models, creating

prosperity, using alternativeenergy sources and generatingopportunity for others to do allof the same. In the premierearticle I would like to begin

by sharing with you some thoughts on the importance andbenefits of...

At first you may wonder what growing vegetables andflowers has to do with restoring America to its constitutionalfoundations and ending the rampant fascism that has gainedcontrol of this great nation. Its very simple, really. The act ofgrowing a garden is not only an exercise that delivers practical

benefits to you and your family, but Ive come to see it as ametaphor for freedom itself!

Our rights guaranteed within the documents drafted by ourfounding fathers are not to be lightly accepted or passivelytaken for granted. Our Constitution and Bill of Rights outline

and detail the precepts under which a healthy United Statesof America will grow and prosper and its people will be ableto reap the fruits of their labor and efforts. These documentsexpress rights and truths that exist so that we have mechanisms

by which we can protect them and the nation they are intendedto serve! This takes vigilance, hard work, focus, innovation, vision, passion and dedication among other things. Withoutfree Americans exercising these traits, the rights guaranteedus will whither away, or worse, be destroyed by some parasiteintent upon serving its own benefit.

In much the same way, gardening is like being a goodAmerican! Nature provides us each with a potential bounty

    A back-to-basics guideto sustainable living.

The seeds of liberty were planted long ago for us. Wemust teach ourselves to dedicate much effort to tending tothe garden in which they grow. Gardening offers familiesopportunity to gain rewards and practice stewardshipthat can be applied to most aspects of life.

As with our liberties, rights and freedoms,in gardening we reapthe fruit of the laborsput into exercisingour responsibilities!

and a logical system of works that exists for us to utilize andmaximize our harvest. There are laws in place that work for our

benefit if we apply the responsibility to the safe-keeping of ourRepublic. Creating a garden takes hard work and maximizingour harvest is even harder. Like our efforts to safeguard ourfreedoms, what we reap in terms of the nature and quality ofour harvest is directly proportionate to the nature and qualityof our efforts. Sometimes you reap great harvests, other timesyou lose entire crops. Its a never-ending challenge. But onethings for sure. If you dont get your hands dirty, youll neverknow what might have been possible and youll be dependenton others to provide sustenance for you.

What could be more un-American than that?

Benefits of Organic GardeningVarious benefits that transcend the material goods we gainfrom utilizing the opportunity given by natures system andapplying our efforts directly are extremely important tothe soul and our overall emotional well-being. But if moreesoteric reasoning isnot enough to motivateyou, the raw, healthy, and nutritious food thatyou will generate foryour family is withoutdoubt an unarguablereason as to why youshould take up organicgardening!

BeautyThe beauty of a healthy plant thriving in awell-tended bed is undeniable. Vegetablesthat offer their fruit to us for the benefitof our bodies and taste buds are wondersof creation to behold in a healthy garden.

Flowers and other ornamentals offerincredible beauty and pleasurable scent totickle the senses. Birds and colorful insectsoffer amusement and joy to those with akeen eye. But most of all, the beauty of thegarden can be seen in the opportunity thatit provides for the family to work togetherdirectly for their well-being. What can bemore beautiful than that?

    DiscoveryGardening is a never-ending exercise

in learning! In order to keep your plantshappy and healthy, you will need toembark on a life-long journey of discoverythat includes watching videos, reading

books, joining clubs and meeting people. But mostly it means direct trial and error. If you approach gardening with a spirit offun and wonder, every day in the gardenreveal a new lesson about what it takes tohelp living things grow healthy and strong. That goes for you and your family, as wellas your plants.

SatisfactionThe sense of accomplishment that comesto you through gardening is simplyindescribable. It is something that must beexperienced to be fully understood. Seeing

store is grown on a corporate farm andis laden with substances that are justterrible for your body. But not only that, vegetables grown in this manner are alsolacking in the basic nutritional benefitsthat we find in the very same varieties

grown in a natural state. Bottom line, naturally grown produce is better foryou and the taste is unbelievably better!Place a cucumber, tomato, carrot and

potato side by side in a taste test, onebeing grown on a factory-farm and onegrown in your home garden and just tryto tell me Im wrong!

    A dahlia gathers morning dew.

You dont need to live on a farmto grow! The average Americanback yard provides ample roomto garden in the ground and incontainers.

Seed saving and plantingoffers a productive activityfor the entire family andteach stewardship andpatience.

the direct result of hard work, loveand dedication right in front of you,

beaming with life and health is unlikeany experience in the world. Sitting

back and admiring your spouse of manyyears and thinking fondly of everythingthat you went through together to getto this point in life or watching yourchild play with the neighbor kids fullof childhood wonder and abandon isa comparable feeling to that gained bytaking a quiet moment in the gardenafter a spell of hard work. Knowinghow your loved ones will benefit fromthe fruit of these efforts gives this senseof satisfaction, a solid purpose that noamount of money can supplant.

Taste and NutritionIn todays age of bioengineering andintensive use of chemical pesticides, additives and herbicides you cannot

beat the real value of growing foodorganically. This is nothing to takelightly. Much of the food that you findin the produce section of your grocery

Homegrown produce is full oftaste and flavor that cannot befound in chemical-laden factory

    farm food.

    6 REPUBLIC MAGAZINE - www.republicmagazine.com

    I

m very grateful to RepublicMagazine.com for givingme this opportunity to share what Ive learned about the

Constitution over the last twenty-fiveyears. I hope this column will helprestore the principles that led to theConstitution, a document which has

been ignored, abandoned, and violatedfor too long.

You may be shocked to discover thatI absolutely hate the phrase Constitutional rights. Thats

because neither the Constitution nor the Bill of Rightshas anything at all to do with your rights. If they burn theFirst Amendment, are you going to give up your freedomof religion? I dont think so. If they shred the Second

Amendment, are you going to voluntarily turn in your guns, and risk being slaughtered en masse like the victims of theHolocaust? I certainly hope not. Please disabuse yourself ofthe habit of using that nasty, misleading phrase.

While Im at it, I want you to stop pretending that theConstitution even protects your rights. It does no suchthing! Imagine standing on a railroad track in the pathof an oncoming locomotive, holding up a copy of theConstitution for protection. Thats how much protectionthe Constitution gives you. None. Zero. Zip. Nada.

You think Im kidding? I am not using hyperboleto emphasize a point. How much protection did theConstitution give us against FDRs socialist New Deal?

None. How much protection has it given you against thePatriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, or the RealID Act? Zero. What will the Second Amendment do to

prevent ATF agents from kicking down your door toconfiscate your firearms? Zip. Nada. Nothing at all.

Do I have your attention, yet?

The reason we are standing chest deep inthe septic tank of todays political process is

because weve lost sight of the fact that Wethe People are supposed to be protecting the

Constitution, not the other way around. Wecomplain about the problems in WashingtonD.C. without facing up to the fact that Congressis only the symptom. We the People are the sourceof the problem. That is going to change. Right here.Right now.

All of our political problems can be traced back to asingle, simple, misunderstanding. Americans have forgotten(or never knew) the difference between RIGHTS andPRIVILEGES.(See www.ConstitutionPreservation.org/assets/chapter2.pdf)

A right is something that you can do without askingfor permission, such as walking back and forth on

your property. A privilegeis something you require

permission to do, such aswalking back and forthacross my property. I maygrant you the privilege ofwalking across my property

    - BUT - I can revoke that privilege any time I wish.Rights and privileges are opposites! Either you need

permission - or you dont. You cant lose someof your virginity, or be a little bit pregnant. Youeither are or youre not. Theres no middle ground.

When someone places a lien on your property, it isstill your property, but you cannot sell your property

before you satisfy the lien. A lien is a condition orlimitation that is placed against your property. Ourrights are un-a-LIEN-able, which means theycannot have conditions or limitations placed on

them. Freedom of religion is not limited to thosewho are Jewish, Catholic, or Protestant. Congressshall make NO law respecting the establishment ofreligion, or abridging the free exercise thereof[emphasis added]

In closing, here are some of the self-evident

truths that our Founding Fathers knew, that wewill have to relearn if were going to have a hopein hell of reclaiming our Liberty: The creator is always more powerful thanthe created. We the People created our government, which means we always have the option of

abolishing our government and startingagain from scratch. We the People have rights, and we grantthe government privileges. We the People can revoke any or all of

the governments privileges any damnedtime we feel like it. All it requires is ourcollective political will.

Thomas Jefferson said that we only havethe rights were willing to fight for. Dont wait

until its too late to join the fight.I look forward to sharing my thoughts on the

Constitution as it applies to current events every monthright here in Republic Magazine. See you next issue!

Presidential candidate Ron Paul, Congressman (R-TX), has been called Founding Father Material,Champion of the Constitution, the Leading advocate for freedom in our nations capitol andeven Dr. No. These titles are not typically associated with many of todays politicians whorarely speak about liberty and the Constitution. Even for those who disagree with Congressman Pauls

politics, there is no debating he is a man of principle. With a consistent voting record that falls directlyin line with true Constitutional principles, he upholds his oath unlike others. Congressman Paul hasclearly distinguished himself from the other Presidential candidates in either party with the message of

liberty and the Constitutional rule of law. But, who exactly is Ron Paul and how did he finally becomethe Champion of the Constitution?

Before Ron Paul became known as Dr. No he was born and raised in Green Tree, Pennsylvania justoutside of Pittsburgh. In high school, Congressman Paul was a standout athlete winning the PennsylvaniaState Championship in the 220-yard dash. Upon graduation from high school in 1953 he attended andgraduated from Gettysburg College. From there he went on to gain his medical degree from the DukeUniversity School of Medicine. It was during the time that he attended Gettysburg College that hemarried his wife Carol. He and his wife have had five children and seventeen grandchildren.

Dr. Paul is a traditional baby doctor by trade, but his medical training is actually much broader. Hisformal medical training was interrupted during the Cuban Missile Crisis when he was drafted into theUnited States Air Force. He served honorably as a flight surgeon from 1963 to 1965. He then continued toserve in the Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968 while he completed a medical residency specializing

in obstetrics and gynecology.Following his military service he began practicing medicine working in an emergency room in SanAntonio, Texas. He eventually went on to start his own medical practice. As a physician, Dr. Paul hasdelivered thousands of babies and performed numerous surgical procedures.

His decision to get involved in politics followed the August 15th 1971 announcement by then PresidentRichard Nixon. Nixon announced the United States would end the issuance of money based on the goldstandard. Until that time the United States still honored foreign redemption of U.S. Dollars for gold inaccordance with the post World War II Bretton Woods Agreement. Foreign redemption of U.S. Dollarsfor gold gave the United States the right to print the worlds reserve currency. This effectively meant

the end of the honest money system thatthe United States had enjoyed since itsinception. This perplexed Dr. Paul afterhaving studied the Austrian School ofEconomics, which advocated a laissez-faire economic system based on sound

money.Dr. Paul was quoted in Texas Monthlydiscussing the end of the gold standardstating, After that day, all money would

be political money rather than money ofreal value. I was astounded.

The founding fathers agreed withDr. Pauls belief that money should be

based on something honest and tangiblelike gold and silver. With Nixon takingthe U.S. Dollar off the gold standard,

it meant that the Federal Reservewould have carte blanche to create asmuch money as it wished. This wasin direct contrast to the principlesof sound money demanded by theConstitution. Sound money principleswere specifically elaborated on in theCoinage Act of 1792, which establishedour Mint and regulated the coins of theUnited States.

The founding fathers were wellaware of the dangers that stemmed from

the issuance of paper money with nobacking by gold, silver or other tangibleassets. During the Revolutionary Wara currency called the Continental wasissued. The Continental was a papercurrency with no backing by gold orsilver that was easily counterfeited. The popularization of the phrase not

worth a continental was a direct resultof the inflation and devaluation of theContinental because more and moreContinentals were chasing the samegoods and services.

The founders also knew about thethreat of allowing private bankersto issue money. Take for examplethe following quote from ThomasJefferson.

(Aaron Russo Interview: America Freedom to Fascism) (Ron Paul Interviewed: America Freedom to Fascism)

With Nixon taking the U.S. Dollar off thgold standard, it meant that the FederaReserve would have carte blanche to creatas much money as it wished. This was in direccontrast to the principles of sound mone

I believe that banking institutionsare more dangerous to our liberties thanstanding armies. If the American peopleever allow private banks to control theissue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and

corporations that will grow up around(the banks) will deprive the people ofall property until their children wake-uphomeless on the continent their fathersconquered. The issuing power should betaken from the banks and restored to the

people, to whom it properly belongs. After 1971, we not only had a private

central bank issuing our currency butthe currency no longer had any ties togold or any other precious metal. Thiswas of great concern to Dr. Paul as hesought to reverse the damage that this

sort of irresponsible monetary policywould cause. He first ran for Congressin 1974 and despite failing to win theseat the first time around he later wouldwin a special election for that same seatwhen it was vacated in 1976.

Congressman Paul would becomeone of four Republican Congressmento endorse Ronald Reagan in his runagainst Gerald Ford for the nominationfor President. By supporting Reagan,it was clear that he did not buy into

President Fords Whip Inflation Nowcampaign. Fords campaign encouragedthe American people to fight inflation byenacting personal saving policies and

better spending habits. CongressmanPaul knew the Federal Reserve, notthe American people, was the cause ofinflation. Paul knew this because theFederal Reserve had the power to issueAmericas currency since 1913 and thatdetermined the amount of inflation.Although, he would lose in the generalelection six months later, Dr. Paul ran

for Congress again and won a full termin 1978. He was re-elected again in1980 and 1982.

During this time, Congressman Paulgained the reputation as Dr. No forrefusing to vote for laws that he sawas unconstitutional. Amazingly, hecontinued to deliver babies in private

practice while he served in Congress. The issue of monetary policy remaineda primary focus as he served on the

House Banking Committee where hespoke out against the policies of theFederal Reserve. During this time,Congressman Paul also wrote several

books on the subject of monetary policyencouraging the return to an honest

money system.Dr. Paul made the suggestion offorming a commission to determine whatrole gold should play in the economy. In 1982 the U.S. Gold Commissionwas formed as part of a response to thenear inflationary collapse of the U.S.Dollar that plagued the U.S. economyin the late 1970s and early 1980s. TheCommissions report made suggestionsas to what role gold should play in theU.S. economy.

Dr. Paul would go on to make a

failed run for Senate in 1984 beforereturning to his medical practice. Hewould not stay out of politics for long, however, making a run for Presidenton the Libertarian Party ticket in 1988.During the campaign Dr. Paul endorsed

Esteemed filmmaker, ardent activist and loyal patriotAaron Russo lost his battle with cancer on August24, 2007 at the age of 64.Aaron will be profoundly missed but always remem-bered. He was a husband, father, friend, mentor, andinspiration to many.Aarons long list of achievements includes his workin the areas of filmmaking and political activism. His documentary film, America: From Freedomto Fascism, debunked the justification of both theIRS and the Federal Reserve as well as exposedtheir crooked basis. acclaim, including opening to standing ovations at the Cannes Film Festival. Con-gressman Ron Paul was also featured in the documentary, in which he presents hisviews on the economy and the Federal Reserve. The clip can be viewed at: http://www.freedomtofascism.com

Aarons work in the realm of activism proved to be invaluable and selfless. He willbe perpetually revered as a true patriot and tireless fighter for our freedom. the same message of liberty and Constitutional governmentthat has now become the foundation of his 2008 presidentialrun. Despite being an early supporter of Reagan, Dr. Paul wascritical of the huge deficits that occurred during the Reaganadministration and sought to inject the limited governmentand freedom message into the 1988 presidential campaign. He

ended up placing third in the election with 431,750 popularvotes.Following his 1988 run for President, Dr. Paul stayed

out of politics until the Republicans regained control ofCongress in 1994. He believed that the message of limitedConstitutional government would be more effective withthe political shift. Even though that has not proven to be thecase as government has expanded to become more intrusivesince the 1994 Republican take over of Congress. However,Dr. Paul has remained steadfast with the principles of limitedConstitutional government.

Since his return to Congress in 1996, Congressman Paulhas truly been the leading advocate for freedom in our nations

capital. He has maintained a perfect Constitutional votingrecord continuing to vote No on any legislation that is notspecifically authorized by the Constitution.

Congressman Pauls politics are refreshingly simple andhonest. Follow the Constitution, emphasize local control andallow liberty and free markets to work. These principles aretrue for any of the important issues that are facing this countrytoday.

It would be impossible to detail Congressman Pauls stanceon every issue in the space of this article, but what is clearis that he is a man of integrity and principle. Over the tenterms that he has served in Congress, his voting record and

message of freedom, liberty and adherence to the Constitutionhas remained the same.Lets now run down Congressman Pauls stance on a

variety of issues and how it pertains to the Constitution andthe message of liberty. This list will be prefaced with a briefhistory of U.S monetary policy.

THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEMCurrently, the U.S. economy is manipulated by a private

central bank called the Federal Reserve. The Constitutionspecifically prohibits the issuance of bills of credit anddemands that honest money like gold or silver be issued. Thegovernment in 1913 allowed for the establishment of a private

central bank called the Federal Reserve to print the money forthe government. As time went on, this allowed the FederalReserve to gain a monopoly on printing money, which is thesystem that we currently have in place today. Todays moneyis not backed by any sort of tangible asset like gold or silverand much of it is manipulated by the Federal Reserve insecret. In laymans terms, simply put, the Federal Reserve isgiven legal authority to print counterfeit money and loan it

back to the U.S. government at an interest rate that it sets. TheFederal Reserve is entirely unconstitutional and through their

policies, they create the booms and busts that have plagued

our economy since its inception. The

current mortgage meltdown that iscausing tremendous problems with oureconomy is a symptom of the policiesimplemented by the Federal Reserve.

Through the government givingthis group of private bankers legalauthority to create money out of thinair, we as a nation have facilitated adramatic increase in the size and scopeof government as well as the erosion ofindividual civil liberties. CongressmanPaul has previously introduced

legislation to abolish the FederalReserve because he understands, likethe founding fathers did, the dangers ofemitting bills of credit under the controlof a private banking system.

When referring to the central bankduring the interview, Paul stated, TheFederal Reserve creates money andthat is inflation. When you create newmoney the rest of the money goes downin value and peoples prices go up.

Congressman Paul is 100% correctas bankers at the Federal Reserve can

manipulate the money supply to stealwealth from the American people byway of inflation. Under a gold andsilver standard it would take effort andwork to increase the money supply byfinding more gold and silver. Under agold and silver standard it would beimpossible for bankers to steal wealthfrom the American people by simplyissuing additional currency. Such asystem would also constrain the abilityof politicians to increase the size of

government without having access tothe money making machine that theFederal Reserve currently provides. The issuance of money should rest withthe people as the Constitution demands, not in the hands of a private, for-profitinstitution like the Federal Reserve. If elected, Congressman Paul wouldintroduce competition to the FederalReserve by encouraging the use of

private money like the Liberty Dollarand potentially authorizing the Treasury

Congressman Pauls politics arerefreshingly simple and honest. Followthe Constitution, emphasize localcontrol and allow liberty and freemarkets to work.

to issue gold and silver as money. This would effectively put the FederalReserve out of business because honestmoney in the form of gold or silver thatis also legal tender would win out inthe marketplace over Federal Reserve

Notes that have no intrinsic value. When asked how he would restore an

honest monetary system CongressmanPaul replied, You should turn itcompletely over to the marketplace andlet private money evolve and use goldand silver or if the government is to be

involved they should issue a currencyand define it as a weight of gold or aweight of silver but not fix the ratio. That to me would be a better standardthan we had in the 19th century.

Congressman Paul recently introducedlegislation to the 110th Congress inthe form of H.R. 2755 which wouldabolish the Board of Governors ofthe Federal Reserve System and theFederal Reserve. His clear statementsand legislation make CongressmanPaul one of the only politicians inWashington who actually understandshow our monetary system works andknows what needs to be done to fix it.

THE INCOME TAX/IRSAnother important issue pertaining

to the economy is the income tax,a tax considered by many as directgovernment theft. The income tax, like the Federal Reserve, is believedto be unconstitutional because the

Constitution demands that taxes beapportioned or equally divided. Theincome tax is not apportioned andtherefore unconstitutional. The same can

be said for filing an income tax return.

The requirement of filing an income tax is a clear violationof the Fifth Amendment because it forces the individual to

provide evidence to the government that later can be usedto incriminate the individual. Congressman Paul recognizesthat the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the income taxare both unconstitutional and has previously introduced

legislation to abolish the IRS and end the income tax.In the first Republican Presidential debate of the 2008

campaign, Congressman Paul said that he would immediatelymove to abolish the IRS and end the income tax if elected tooffice. Furthermore, Congressman Paul has stated many timesin various campaign appearances that upon abolishing theincome tax, he would replace it with nothing. Congressman

Paul contends that if government operated within its lawfullydefined limits as provided in the Constitution, there would beno need to have an income tax.

What hard working American citizen wouldnt welcomethe abolishment of the IRS and Income Tax?

FOREIGN POLICYCongressman Paul refers directly to the Constitution on

issues of foreign policy. The Constitution advocates a policy

of non-interventionism, which simply means staying out ofentangling alliances and the internal affairs of other nations.Congressman Paul favors withdrawing from institutionslike the United Nations, World Trade Organization, NATOand others, as he believes that these organizations erode oursovereignty. He supports free trade but is against arrangementslike NAFTA that are widely viewed as corporate welfareagreements masqueraded as free trade agreements.

When asked about regionaland global governinginstitutions he stated, Towork in the direction ofloss of sovereignty which

is what happens whenyou setup these regionalgovernments, the WTO, the

IMF and World Bank. They are working for the New WorldOrder a new system of government and Im not in support ofthat at all.

During the latter half of the 20th century, the U.S. policyof non-intervention has been completely abandoned in favorof empire building. We have also abandoned the notion thatonly Congress has the power to declare war. Congress has notdeclared war since World War II and yet the U.S. has beeninvolved in several undeclared foreign wars including the

current war in Iraq.Congressman Paul voted against authorization to go to warin Iraq and supports immediate troop withdrawal based on the

premise that it is unconstitutional, since war with Iraq wasnever declared by Congress. During the Iowa GOP debatethat aired on ABC News, he stated the following when askedabout the Iraq war, Just come home. We just marched in, wecan just come home.

This simple and powerful message on the Iraq war hasreally helped to shape and define his campaign. As Presidenthe would strengthen our national defense by withdrawing ourtroops from their current mission of empire building and usethe military to defend our national borders, as was intended

    by the Constitution.

THE 2ND AMENDMENTCongressman Paul is a strong supporter of the 2nd

amendment. He has consistently voted against gun controllegislation, supports the private ownership of automaticfirearms and has been given the highest Congressionalrating by the Gun Owners of America. He believes that theindividual, not the state, is in the best position to protect theirlives and liberty and that is why he has voted continuously insupport of upholding the 2nd amendment.

HEALTH CARECongressman Paul supports a true free market health

care system to fix the problems it is plagued by. He believesthe American health care system has the problems it does

because of government involvement, which has resultedin a corporatist-fascist model. Strangely enough, manyof the other presidential candidates, particularly on theDemocratic side of the fence, believe that we need moregovernment involvement to fix the system. CongressmanPaul opposes a universal national health care plan becausea national health care system is not authorized by theConstitution and it would vastly increase the size and scopeof government. When asked how a government-run healthcare plan would operate he replied, It would be like askingFEMA to take care of it.

He also talked about the rising costs of medical careand stated, Medical care costs prices skyrocket because ofinflation, the government is involved and bureaucrats areinvolved.

In addition, he said referring to advances in technology,Technology should lower the prices of everything involvedif all things are equal.

Congressman Pauls message on health care is reallyquite simple. There is no government involvement withcomputers and cell phones and the prices of those thingshave gone down. If government wasnt involved in thehealth care system, the price of health care would also godown.

NORTH AMERICAN UNIONThe North American Union is the stealth push for the

integration of Canada, Mexico and the United States into aregional government entity under a common currency knownas the Amero. Congressman Paul is strongly opposed to the

NAU. This secret push towards North American integrationbegan with the Security and Prosperity Partnership signed by George W. Bush and established regional agenciesthat would oversee governmental functions across NorthAmerica. The SPP is unconstitutional because treaties withother nations are required to have congressional approval.

EDUCATIONCongressman Paul supports eliminating the Department

of Education allowing states and local government control

over public education. He also supports introducing freemarket competition. From a Constitutional perspective theDepartment of Education can be considered unconstitutional

because the Constitution states that this is a matter thatshould be left to the states and local government.

WAR ON DRUGSCongressman Paul supports the decriminalization of

drug laws based on the premise that the government doesnot have the right to tell the individual what they should orshould not put in their body.

THE ENVIRONMENTOn the environment, Congressman Paul believes we need

to strengthen private property laws because people who trulyown something will be more likely to take care for it, than willthe state. Nations that have favored socialism and collectivismover freedom, liberty and private property

have had rampant amounts of pollution because individuals do not have trueownership of their property.

    IMMIGRATIONOn immigration, Congressman Paul

supports ending the welfare state that provides the incentive for individuals tocome here illegally. He has also proposedlegislation that would end birthrightcitizenship eliminating another incentivefor illegal immigrants to enter the country.

During the interview he stated, The welfare state provides

an incentive for people to come, as well as, an incentive forsome of our people not to work and take some of these jobs.

He also talked about physical border security and stated,We need more border guards. I would provide the personnel

by bringing our troops home.Congressman Paul supports both ending the incentive for

illegal immigrants to come to the United States in addition toproviding physical border security. He also opposes any sortof amnesty for illegal immigrants.

    PATRIOT ACT/MILITARY COMMISSION ACT/REALID ACT

Congressman Paul voted against the Patriot Act and MilitaryCommissions Act, which were two pieces of unconstitutionallegislation that allowed for domestic spying and the eliminationof habeas corpus. He supports the abolishment of both laws

because they are in direct contradiction with the freedomsguaranteed in the Constitution. He is also strongly opposed tothe Real ID Act, which is a national ID card program that isslated to start in 2008.

SIZE AND SCOPE OF GOVERNMENTCongressman Paul also favors abolishing federal

government agencies that are not specifically authorized bythe Constitution. This includes the Department of Homeland

Security among others that have already been mentioned.During his June 13th 2007 appearance on the Colbert Reporthe made it clear that he would reduce the size of governmentdramatically. In terms of programs that people depend uponlike Social Security and Medicare he favors eliminating them

by reducing them in size over a period of time. This way, people who depend upon these institutions would get the helpthey needed until it was possible to eliminate them entirely.

INTERNET REGULATIONCongressman Paul is against regulation and taxation of

the Internet. When asked about the push towards taxingand regulating the Internet and he compared it to regulatingthings like books. He stated, Books are available. We dontregulate books.

This is a very good point. If the government doesntregulate books, why should the

government regulate things like theInternet? He also referred to the Internet as our

secret weapon calling it a politicalequalizer.

Ron Pauls campaign website isranked at 20,124 among every websitein the world according to the globalranking website Alexa.com. Alexa ranksYahoo.com as the number one website inthe world next to msn.com and google.com. Hillary Clintons campaign site

is ranked at 21,650, Obamas at 22,433 and Giulianis at

117,055.Considering the tremendous success that Congressman

Pauls presidential campaign has had on the Internet, it iseasy to see why he holds this position on Internet regulationand taxation. The internet is also one of the reasons whyyoung people have flocked to support his presidentialcampaign.

Dr. Paul believes a major problem affecting this countryis the Federal Reserve because this is the engine that is usedto expand the government, erode civil liberty and wage war.He is the only presidential candidate that understands thedangers of a private central banking system, and is willing

to address it. The ability of the Federal Reserve to printmoney that is legal tender out of thin air has allowed thegovernment to behave irresponsibly and offers very little inthe way of checks and balances.

A statement he made about the Federal Reserve, duringthe interview, sums it up. He stated, If you want to strivefor personal liberty you want government to be small. The Federal Reserve permits the members of Congressand politicians to expand government without beingresponsible.

No individual running for President has the educationand background on monetary policy that Congressman Pauldoes. We are faced with a monetary crisis; the U.S. Dollar

has lost, approximately, more than half of its value since2000. There is a clear need for a President who understandsthe concept of honest money to reverse some potentiallydamaging trends.

Ron Pauls stance on political issues, his life experiencesand solid Constitutional voting record make it obvious thathe is a genuine and honest man. We urgently need this typeof patriot as the next President of the United States. Unlikethe majority of politicians who seek office for power, fellowfreedom lovers and patriots had to convince him to run forPresident. They felt he was the right man at the right time.

ActivismHow often have you been sitting in traffic staring at the bumper stickerson the car in front of you? I know Ive stared at quite a few. Bumperstickers are an extremely cost effective way to spread the message youwant. Placing a sticker wont take very long. It should take you lessthan 60 seconds. Whether you build your own bumper sticker online

or purchase one that is ready to go, proper placement on your vehicleis key. Placing your sticker on the bumper can take it out of directeyesight, if the bumper on your vehicle is too low. If you place it onthe on the trunk lid of your car the message will likely be in direct lineof sight to the driver of any vehicle behind you, but it may harm your

paint job. I suggest placing your bumper sticker on the lower corner ofyour rear window for best exposure. Placing it

on the window of your car wont harm paint and the sticker can easily be removedlater. If you dont care about your paint job then put the stickers where you thinkthe best visibility will be.

Info signs can be a very effective method of guerilla activism. Whileit may take longer than 60 seconds to make and place your sign, theimpact of the message will be just what it takes to plant the seed inthe readers mind and that should be less than 60 seconds to be veryeffective. Choose your material. Heavy card stock is good, but will notlast the first rainfall. Larger plastic garage sale signs work great and willstand the weather, just remember to use the white backside. Choose yourmessage. Keep it short and snappy because your audience will likely becruising along at 50 miles per hour. Pick your sign placement. Telephone

poles work great just get that sign up highenough so it will be difficult for it to betampered with or removed, yet it willremain in line of sight. Placementalong a busy highway or at a high-traffic intersection will yield greatresults. Be creative! There aremany places you can post your newsign just exercise safety when doingso and dont destroy anyones private

    property in the process.

So you like to visit bookstores and drink expensive coffee? Lets make real use ofthe time spent by all in these places by placing info cards in politically-biased books. The question is what do you want the cards to say? What books do you choose? Ifyou know what books are out there, then you can make your cards before you get tothe store. Otherwise, get a stack of sticky notes,a cup of expensive coffee and a pen, browse asection and choose your targets. Sit down afteryour coffee has cooled, and start writing. In somecases a handwritten note will have more impact

than a professionally printed card. Once your simple statements, facts, and/orwebsites are created on your sticky note, return to the aisle and place them inthe books youve chosen. Dont limit yourself to just the political section, visitthe cookbook aisle, the novel section and the classics. Make an afternoon outof it with some friends at the mall, and have a great time doing it! You arent

breaking any laws, so whats the worry?

This one is easy and takes virtually no time at all. First you need to get your Ron Paul Stamp at www.RonPaulStamp.com or other activist related stamper. Once it arrives start stamping! You are only limited by the surface you stamp.Porous surfaces like cardboard and paper are generally the best. Glossy surfaces like those with a plastic coating orlaminate wont hold the ink. Likewise, glass and CDs or DVDs will not let the ink dry and it will end up rubbingright off. Paper is the ideal surface for stamping. When paying bills stamp Ron Paul right on the bill and theenvelope you mail back to them. Some people have raised the legitimacy or legality of

stamping or writing on money. It is not against the law to stamp or write on thenotes, it is illegal only if you destroy or mutilate them to the point of makingthem unfit for circulation. I play it safe by only stamping the back of my

bills. That way, when I use FRNs (Federal Reserve Notes) to makea purchase I always present the bill with the stamped side down toensure it gets into circulation. If the bank teller or cashier sees thestamped bill there is always the chance they may reject it, but ifthey dont see it they cant reject it. Most times they just dontcare either way. Think about the denomination of the FRN youchoose to stamp also. Folks who carry around stacks of hundredsgenerally have friends who also carry around hundreds. So if youcan stamp hundred dollar bills you may be able to influence somehigh rollers to the cause. You can also stamp Ron Paul on yourhundred dollar bill, then cash it in for two fifties, stamp Ron Paulon those, cash the fifties in for twenties and a ten, stamp Ron Paul onthose, continue until you have stamped Ron Paul down to 100 one dollar

    bills.

The sixth anniversary of 9/11 is upon us. The first series of aninevitable hundreds of thousands of pieces of steel have been laid at

the foundations in Lower Manhattan where the Twin Towers used tostand.

World Trade Center Building Seven, the last building to fall, was the firstbuilding to be replaced, having been completed since May, 2006.

Reflecting Absence, a memorial that will be located in the Twin Towersfootprints, has incensed family members and survivors alike. Diane Horning, the leader of the WTC Families for Proper Burial, an organization dedicatedin fighting for a proper burial of the 1,148 victims that sit in a landfill inStaten Island, personally told me she will never return to the site, and neitherwill a number of others.

In the area surrounding the World Trade Center complex, thousands

of residents, rescue workers and others are suffering from debilitating lung problems that can ultimately be traced back to an EPA memo, amendedunder the watchful eye of the White House, declaring that the air was safeto breathe. Hundreds have already died.

The Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, has only raised$11 million out of the estimated $57 million price tag. It is projected to befinished in 2011.

The 9/11 Commission, a supposedly bi-partisan independent investigationinto what happened, closed its doors on August 21st, 2004. Since then, former chairmen Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton have published a book, criticizing the process and noting a number of problems they experienced.Mr. Hamilton went so far as to tell CBC News reporter Evan Solomon that

their work was a first draft of history. He also had never seen LooseChange.

The Family Steering Committee, which criticized the 9/11Commission step by step, are still fighting for answers to their

ever-growing list of questions.Meanwhile, the Bush administration has waged war

against two sovereign nations, based upon the premisethat 9/11 was conducted by nineteen members of alQaeda under the direction of Osama bin Laden.

Osama bin Laden has never been tried in a court of law.The crimes of 9/11 are not even listed on his official FBIwanted poster. He was immediately declared guilty inthe court of public opinion, with news anchors blaming

him for the attacks before either Twin Tower fell. Wewanted vengeance, and we wanted it immediately.

And now where are we, six years later? We are entrenched in two wars, and many will tell

you that they see a third on the horizon. The anti-warmovement, which has been screaming loudly before

boots were even on the ground, still holds regular protests to voice their distaste for the Administration.(Although an Executive Order signed by President Bushon July 17th may well put an end to that.)

The 9/11 Truth Movement, which has been slowly

gaining steam since 9/11/2001, is in a class of its own.

    What have we learned from?

While our evidence and our numbers have growntremendously, do we know anything we didnt know

before? Our basic premise as investigators, activists, and

freedom-loving Americans remains the same: 9/11 was

    an inside job.

The ancillary grounds are as follows: The Twin Towers should not have collapsed inthe manner that they did. The complete pulverizationof concrete and virtually everything except the steel;the molten metal reported underneath buildings One,Two, and Seven which fueled raging fires that burneduntil December, 2001; the horizontal propulsion of

steel beams and cross-sections weighing up to 200,000 pounds; the eyewitness reports of explosions insidethe building before and during the collapses; all ofthese issues and more lend credence to the controlleddemolition hypothesis. National Institute of Standardsand Technologys refusal to research this hypothesis andtest for the necessary residues, as well as their refusalto provide an actual mechanism for the collapse of theTowers, has only fueled this debate.

Debate also rages on whether or not a 757 hit thePentagon, but those two camps can certainly agree on

one thing: the Pentagon should not have been struck atall. Norman Minetas testimony to the 9/11 Commissionillustrates this premise succinctly.

Flight 93 certainly did not crash intact in Shanksville,Pennsylvania, due to the actions of either Ziad Jarrahor the Lets Roll crew. A secondary debris field eightmiles away in New Baltimore, as confirmed by the FBIto Brian Cabell of CNN, lends significant credence to

the idea that something happened to Flight 93 while itwas airborne. Eyewitness testimony from locals such asSusan Mcelwain testifies that a small white aircraft wasseen flying from the south-east towards the site whereFlight 93 would crash moments later.

World Trade Center 7 was blown up. Period, caseclosed, end of story. NIST is still struggling to explainthe collapse under the guidelines of the official narrative, and they have now contracted ARA in Albuquerque,

New Mexico, to analyze the building, but only betweenfloors 8 and 46. Perhaps this is an attempt to avoidmentioning an explosion that occurred on the 6th floor,as experienced by both Michael Hess and anotherindividual who swears on his life that it occurred before

either of the Twin Towers had fallen. In essence, we know everything now that we knew

back then. Our convictions are simply much stronger, andbacked by much more evidence and experts. Architects andengineers are finally speaking out. Even Daniel Jowenko,

a man who has operated a controlled demolition companyfor nearly thirty years, has stated multiple times on recordthat a professionalteam took WTC7 down.

But what have we done with the information we havenow at our disposal? The mainstream media and othershave gone through Gandhis three steps. Theyve ignoredus, theyve laughed at us, theyve fought us but werestill waiting for the victory. Our movement has becomeinfiltrated with individuals who claim to have our best

about their ego than accomplishing anythingtangible. There are also people who, quitesimply, no longer give a shit.

What do we do now? Whats the nextstep? Do we sit idly by while the Bushadministration continues to wage war bothabroad and at home, assailing on innocentlives and what were once guaranteedliberties? Do we wait for the criminalsresponsible for the acts of September 11thto walk out of office in 2009? Or do we

stand up and fight? To the authorities who continue to spin theirweb of lies and promote the official story Isay to you, if were wrong, prove us wrongin a court of law. Release the documentsweve been begging to read. Show us thevideo youve refused to release. Let us hearthe cockpit voice recordings youve only

Samuel Anthony Ettaro: Yeah. It really isan astonishing state of affairs and that wholecognitive dissonance thing. Its strange

So many people see what folks like youare doing as courageous. Ive used thisanalogy before. This isnt courage its nota matter of it is being courageous, but it strikes me as,like you said, youre just a mom protecting her family. If Iwere upstairs in the middle of the night and my family wassleeping, and my wifes sleeping next to me and my momsin the other room snoozing away and my little girls in herbedroom with her kitty cats all curled up and safe and warmand I hear somebody kicking my basement door in, am I

gonna lay there in bed and put the covers over my eyes andhope that that persons not gonna mean me harm and nothurt my little girl and not mean my family harm? Or am I

gonna be a man and step up and get down there and protectmy family? And thats what were doing. What choice dowe have, folks? You know, the devils are at the door. Are

you gonna hand em over? Are you gonna hand your familyover?SJ: Ive gotta make another statement. This might sounda littlee harsh

SAE: You go right ahead.SJ: As far as the income tax, every April 15, they were comingin and raping me. If I dont do something, 10 years from nowtheyre gonna be raping my daughter and I cant have that.

SAE: There you go. Hey, that doesnt sound harsh. That sounds like the truth to me. You know. Absolutelyastonishing.. the situation that were in. What do we doabout it? You know, its one thing to get out there and towake people up, wake people up, wake people up, wake

people up but what is the practical answer here, if werenot getting any response from the government?SJ: Stop electing those same people who are ignoring you. Most of all. Again, the American people, so long as theyrein a comfort zone, are going to elect these same people thatmake these promises and dont keep em. If they get rid of

these people except for Ron Pauland a couple of other ones and getsomebody in there thats gonnachange the system, we can have aviable system.

SAE: Yeah, it can make a realdifference.SJ: So we have to educate ourfriends and neighbors and relativesand then we have to get some new

people in there. Its just like, youknow, everybody go to Washingtonand sit in the middle of the streetfor three days and tell all of em to

just pack up and go home. Like theLebanese people did last year.

SAE: There you go. Get outta here! And the only other

alternative is to do a Ceausescu. We dont want it to come tothat. I mean, I dont think anybody wants a violent revolutionin this country SJ: No, we dont.

SAE: No, we dont.SJ: We love our country. We love our country.

SAE: Absolutely. Nobody wants to see it turn to that. Butunfortunately, whats gonna end up happening, what scaresme is whats gonna end up happening is that if we waittoo long, and then the carpet is pulled out and you have

mass panic, you have middle class, the people we were justtalking about whose eyes glaze over when you talk aboutthis stuff, when they dont have their truck and they donthave their big plasma TV and their 167 channels and theireasily accessible mass of food centers to go and get whateverthey want and need and the crap hits the fan so to speak, andwe have chaos, its gonna turn ugly. And it doesnt needto come to that if people would just wake up and get busybuilding a better way, take back the power that they have, getto know their neighbors, reach out and make a differenceeven locally, thats gonna spread and its gonna help and it

just astonishes me.SJ: But you still have to prepare for what you just said. I

dont like to talk about it a lot. But what we do when I haveworkshops, we talk about those possibilities of people justlosing their minds.

SAE: Just chaos, oh, yeah.SJ: I dont want to be in that situation.

SAE: Heck, no way.SJ: Because there are no solutions to that.

Ron Paul, and, you know, Im probably oneof his biggest cheerleaders. And my questionis, because as Ive talked to people, and Ivesaid, you know, Ron Paul wants to get ridof the IRS, and one of the biggest questions

people come back at me with is, Well what

do we put in its place?SJ: My answer is, Absolutely nothing. The constitution has the perfect text. Theconstitution says we should be collectingimpost, excise duties and tariffs. All thosegoods that come over here that say Madein China, Made in Taiwan, Made inWherever, those people should be taxedfor the privilege of bringing that stuff overhere and selling it to us at Wally World, Imsorry, at Wal-Mart. However, China has beengiven most-favored nation status and weve

been stuck with a burden that really doesnt

belong to us. So as long we go back to theconstitution, then there will be enough moneyto fund the 18 duties that government has

been given. Believe it or not there are only18 duties that the government has been given. They have not been given the duty to makeup the National Endowment of the Arts andmake us pay for it, or the National EducationAssociation and all these other entitlement

programs that are stealing from you to giveto other people. If somebody wants to paint

pictures, let them pay for their own pictures.

Let them paint their pictures and then sell em.You know, why are you taking my money tofund some art, that you call art, that I dontnecessarily call art. Like Jesus in a glass ofurine, upside down. Stuff like that. Why arewe paying for that? So things that would be cutout would be the things that are entitlementsand people would get around to helpingthemselves. Welfare, welfare wasnt alwaysaround. Neighbors helped neighbors, familymembers helped family members and we werea tighter, stronger country. But all this stuff is

breaking us down. The education system, the

government school system is dumbing-downthe children. Here in Georgia they dont eventeach the children, teenagers in high school, how to balance a checkbook. But they have atleast three credit card applications coming tothem in their senior year. Its gotta stop.

GF: Ive been trying to give it some thought. It seems that what people should do is if yougo to a job and you fill out the application andall that stuff, you should have a checkbox that

if thats the case, and theyve made us into a corporation, shouldnt we have to pay taxes if were a corporation thattheyve created?SJ: If you research that and you believe that theyve made you acorporation, then you need to figure out not to be a corporation

because thats not what we are. We are human beings created by

our creator. We are not corporations. So if you think that youvebeen made a corporation, the person that thinks, that needs toresearch and figure out how to get themselves to be just a regularhuman being. There are a lot of different things Theres somuch research out there about how weve been duped. But whatwe want to do is stay on point, dont let them call us a kook fortalking about stuff like that. Stay on point and make them admitthat theyve made us a corporation if thats the case.

GF: I sure am glad youre out there sharing this message withthe people. Regarding the Federal Reserve. Is the IRS thecollection arm of the Federal Reserve?SJ: Definitely. The Federal Reserve is a non-auditable private

banking cartel that collects about $30 million an hour of interestfrom the American people. The money that you pay in taxesdoesnt go towards fixing the roads; the gas tax does that. Itdoesnt go toward the police and the firemen; your ad valoremtax or real estate tax goes toward that. It goes to these private

bankers. And what were doing is paying all of that money sothat their children who are born in 2026 will never have to worka day in their lives. Yes, theyre the bouncers for the club.

GF: Wow. Now, one of the things that Aaron (Russo) reallywants to do, and that I support, is getting rid of the Federal

Reserve system. And, when I bring that up to people, they

just kind of shudder. (Stammering) I dont know anythingelse. They just get confused. Theyve known the FederalReserve to be there this whole time and they dont know whatcould be put in its place. If thats the case, what type of system, economic system do we return to? If the Fed is gone and the

IRS is gone?SJ: One with money and thats with real money, not FederalReserve notes. President Kennedy started making United Statesnotes and then he was killed. The first thing that Lyndon BainesJohnson did when he got in office was rescind the executiveorder for the United States notes and give that responsibility

back over to the Federal Reserve. Youre messing with the bigboys when you talk about the Federal Reserve, and most people

dont understand it. Now, if they were to understand it, they stillmay fear it, but most people dont understand that the FederalReserve is a private banking cartel. They dont understand that. There are other societies in this world that dont have a federalreserve. Their money is backed by gold. I think the French francand the money in Denmark is still backed by gold. But we havethis stuff thats backed by thin air, so Im not comfortable withthat. And Ron Paul said hed get rid of the IRS and probablythe Federal Reserve and put us back in a system where what wegive somebody means something. And the dollar is really, reallygoing down. In other countries you have to give three Federal

participate in all of these different entitlement funds? Andthen, you know what? That would be fine.SJ: People dont know that they have the right to say no.

GF: Right, cause they make it seem like we have to do it.They try to make it mandatory.SJ: Right, well its not mandatory, you know, but people dontknow. And if you dont know your rights, you dont haveany.

GF: So, have you been able to talk to Ron Paul, or collaborateanything with him SJ: Well, I met him at a conference in December before hedecided to run for president. And Ive been looking at hisrecord for several years. And what I have to say about the manis hes consistent. Hes not switch-o, change-o; you know, tellone group one thing and go tell another group another thing.

He doesnt do that like other candidates do. They want power,he wants change, and he wants change for the betterment ofthis country.

GF: He wants change for the people.SJ: Yes, like getting rid of the IRS. You know, take all thoseIRS agents and IRS workers, 170-some-odd-thousand orhowever many there are, and put them down on the border to

protect our border. That would be a great job for them rightnow.

GF: (Laughs) How much money is the IRS sucking out of

people? Theyre already taking the money, but then thesepeople have salaries to pay, too.SJ: Thats right.

GF: What kind of budget do they have?SJ: I dont know the
