PROTECTING YOUR CREDITI passed a bill to protect you from unfair fees charged by credit agencies. You can freeze and unfreeze your credit accounts when there’s a privacy breach. It isn’t right for you to pay to protect your data when credit agencies make that data vulnerable.

MAKING AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES SAFE FOR WASHINGTONAutonomous vehicle technology continues to develop, and we need to make sure that as a state, we are ready for them to operate safely. This session I worked with industry leaders to form a workgroup that will guide the safe introduction of this new technology without limiting innovation.

STATE NEED GRANTThe operating budget puts the state on a pathway to fully funding the State Need Grant within the next four years so every eligible student will be able to pursue their dreams of higher education.

HOUSING AFFORDABILITYOur region is growing, which puts pressure on housing. This session we took steps to address housing by:

• increasing funding for homeless services;• prohibiting discrimination against tenants;• expanding eligibility for certain housing programs;• assisting local governments with land capacity analysis.

PROTECTING A FREE AND OPEN INTERNET IN WASHINGTONWashington became the first state in the nation to pass net neutrality so your internet provider can’t slow down and speed up different web sites or charge you various speed rates for access to your internet.
