We are helping nine residents by supplementing their monthly income to ensure they have a home, wonderful healthcare, and that their essential needs are met. We want to make giving as easy as possible for you, our donors. We wanted to let you know there are many ways to give, and some methods may be more beneficial to you and your circumstances: • Stocks: Make an impact by donating long- term appreciated securities, including stock, bonds, and mutual funds, directly to Riderwood BCF. When you donate stock to charity, you’ll generally take a tax deduction for the full fair market value. And because you are donating stock, your contribution and tax deduction may instantly increase. • Donation from Your Donor-advised Funds: If you’ve created a DAF, consider making a grant recommendation to the institution that administers your fund to support Riderwood BCF. • Qualified Charitable Distribution from Your IRA: Make a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian, payable to Riderwood BCF. Although there is no required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year, a QCD may be an excellent asset to use for donations. There may be certain tax credits and benefits. • Charge to Your Riderwood Bill: You can fill out an Automated Billing Form (available at the front desk and Philanthropy) to make a gift to the BCF. The amount you designate will be added to your next Riderwood bill. Of course, you can always give a gift by cash or check as well. A donation envelope was included in the Benevolent Care Fund Newsletter distributed earlier this month and donations can be put in the Philanthropy slot at all front desks. Your donation can make such a difference in the life of someone facing financial hardship here at Riderwood. Thank you for sharing your gifts with your community! We appreciate every gift to the Benevolent Care Fund (BCF) that makes it possible to help our residents-in-need during 2020. We are helping nine residents by supplementing their monthly income to ensure they have a home, wonderful healthcare, and that their essential needs are met.

We want to make giving as easy as possible for you, our donors. We wanted to let you know there are many ways to give, and some methods may be more beneficial to you and your circumstances:

• Stocks: Make an impact by donating long-term appreciated securities, including stock, bonds, and mutual funds, directly to Riderwood BCF. When you donate stock to charity, you’ll generally take a tax deduction for the full fair market value. And because you are donating stock, your contribution and tax deduction may instantly increase.

• Donation from Your Donor-advised Funds: If you’ve created a DAF, consider making

a grant recommendation to the institution that administers your fund to support Riderwood BCF.

• Qualified Charitable Distribution from Your IRA: Make a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian, payable to Riderwood BCF. Although there is no required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year, a QCD may be an excellent asset to use for

donations. There may be certain tax credits and benefits.

• Charge to Your Riderwood Bill: You can fill out an Automated

Billing Form (available at the front desk and Philanthropy) to make a gift to the BCF.

The amount you designate will be added to your next Riderwood bill.

Of course, you can always give a gift by cash or check as well. A donation envelope was included in the Benevolent Care Fund Newsletter distributed earlier this month and donations can be put in the Philanthropy slot at all front desks.
