Having achieved excellent results, Aguttes is now the fourth largest auction house in France. Ensuring regular growth for more than twenty years, Aguttes has shown its ability to locate remarkable artworks and attract international collectors from around the world.

Aguttes has confirmed its position as market leader in jewelry and natural pearls as well as for Asian painters of the early 20th century. In the latter category, a record was achieved with a painting by Sanyu that obtained 8.8 million euros.

Off site auction sales also made their mark in 2017, such as with one organized during Les Grandes Heures Automobiles or those that were held in the hôtel particulier of Arturo López. In Lyon, extensive renovations of salerooms in the former Brotteaux train station owned by Aguttes have just been completed. This will allow further exceptional events to be held.

“We will continue to pursue growth in 2018, and will be occupying ourselves with orchestrating the dispersion of the Aristophil collections under optimum conditions,” says Claude Aguttes, the president of the Aguttes auction house.
