To Whom it May Concern:
SWCA Environmental Consultants is assisting Southern California Edison (SCE) with the Ivanpah-Control Project (IC Project) in unincorporated portions of Inyo, Kern, San Bernardino counties, and in the city of Barstow. Since the IC Project invokes the requirements of SB 18 and AB 52, I am requesting a Sacred Lands File search and list of groups or individuals listed by the NAHC as contacts for the counties listed above. The proposed project consists of approximately 576 km (358 miles) of utility corridor spanning south from Bishop, California, into Inyo County, through the northeastern corner of Kern County, and through San Bernardino County before terminating at the SCE Ivanpah Solar Generating Facility approximately 9.25 km (5.75 miles) west of the California–Nevada border. This project is part of SCE’s Transmission Line Rating Remediation (TLRR) program to correct for discrepancies with General Order 95 Overhead Electric Line Construction (GO 95), consisting of rebuilding 358 miles of existing 115-kV subtransmission circuits, relocating portions of the distribution line, and installing new groundwire and cables for Telecommunications Systems protection.
