Kathak Kendra:
Kathak Mahotsav paid a special tribute to Kathak legend- Dr Maya
Rao and a unique audio visual feature titled- “Maya- Links and
Echoes” with her signature Kathak centric works was performed by
the NIKC.
Manipur SNA fest – Maya links & echoes:
A unique audio visual feature titled- “Maya- Links and Echoes”
featuring Dr Maya Rao’s choreographies from 1959 to 2014 were
presented interspersed with multiple media imagery elucidating
her creative process.
Indo German meet: A newly designed showcase featuring German & Indian literature inspired movement montages
for Bosch
Choreographies in the Kathak and contemporary Indian dance idioms for the SNA festival in Thrissur
Madhu Nataraj speaks at a seminar on ‘Collaborative Art’ at the Khajuraho Festival, co sponsored by SNA, New Delhi
Global Exchange Summit – West meets East: India from tradition to modernity showcased at the international

The company toured the United States and performed at various
locations.
The Kampni presented a specially designed performance for ‘Connect India’
TED talk by Madhu Nataraj at MSRIT with a performance by the Kampni on the topic – ‘Illusion of success’
ICCR aided tour to Russia, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyztan.
Celebrating Light – A uniquely curated, interactive evening of dance to herald the festival of lights - Deepawali
January to June 2016
Uttarapurvi Evam Dakshini, Festival of Indian Dance at Sirsi, Karnataka conducted by SNA
"Mahadev – in the cave of the consciousness” premiered at the Khajurao Dance Festival.
Premiere of "Like Camphor on Fire” , a production based on Basrur Subba Rao’s book -Lingayata Phliosophy.
Prayatna festival of contemporary arts - The Kampni created a new feature - The Moving Verse and on day 2 Madhu
Nataraj spoke about Dr Maya Rao’s life and works at the Pune Film Institute.
Kathak workshop by Madhu Nataraj at Mamangam school of dance, Kochi
Film/performance art with German artiste-in-residence, Katerina Valdivia in collaboration with Goethe Institut.

Creativity workshops led by Madhu Nataraj for Symbiosis Institute, Bangalore
" Suvarna Karnataka" presented at the Ranna Mahotsav, Belagavi , Directorate of Kanadda and Culture, Govt of
Karnataka.
From Darkness- A mixed media performance in collaboration with JAAGA featuring light installations with Dance for

- Jangam – dance stimuli on unicycles – specially designed choreography on unicycles in collaboration
with Jaaga.
- Site specific performance designed to inaugurate ‘Under the Raintree’ – a women’s multi-arts cultural
festival.
- Premiere of Ramaanubhava - retellings of the Ramayana through the spectrum of Indian classical and
operatic forms.
- Bangalore lit Fest Madhu Nataraj introduced author Radhika Vaccahni’s “Just Breath”- a book on yoga
and wellness (2017)
- India Foundation – Kampni presented a dance feature titled india – co-exsisting with tradition &
modernity at the India foundations annual conference in Goa
January to March 2018
Madhu Nataraj conducted workshops on Kathak & its contemporary interpretations for Gurukul, Dubai. Performance celebrating 50 years of partnership between the twin cities of Mumbai and Stuttgart 11th Feb 2018: "Aikyam- Invoking equipoise" for the Dhauli Kalinga Mahotsav in Bhubaneswar
