This area could become a
focal point for the
community

can be used as a safe

Memorial to
Craig Millar
There are a number of
options available for the
Craig Millar memorial which
currently sits in the centre of
the site.
a/ Leave the existing
Memorial where it is (not
always accessible to the
public within the secure
School grounds;
b/ Mark the original location
within the School grounds
and move the Memorial
closer to Harewood Drive to
allow it to be accessed by
the public at any time.

An open grassed area for
general recreation and
active play for the School,
which could also be
available for community use
by arrangement with the
School
Futureproofing Castlebrae
The initial proposals are designed to accommodate 700 pupils.
As part of the design process, the team have been asked to
consider how the School could be extended to accommodate up
to 1200 pupils as part of an Expansion Strategy.
Phase 2 will involve an extension to the north of the School
building including additional teaching accommodation, along
with an enlarged car park and extra Sports pitch.
The team have also considered how best to extend a School with
minimal disruption to the School’s day to day operation.
