IBM Global Financing – System x ‘Cheaper Than Buying’ Promotion

The OfferIBM Global Financing (IGF) is offering credit-qualified clients below market rate interest leasing for all models of System x for the first quarter of 2010. This means that clients can have access to System x technology at less than the cost of buying the product outright when you lease the product for two years.** It’s a great way for clients to use current technology at a minimum cost, and be ready to transition to new technology as it becomes available. ** Based on a 24 month lease-to-return compared with an outright purchase. While the cost to the client will be less than purchasing the product outright for the first 24 months, leasing the product does not give you title to the product as is the case when you buy. At the end of the lease, title to the goods remains with IGF and does not transfer to the client. At the end of the 24 month period, clients may make an offer to purchase the equipment at its Fair Market Value, return the asset to IGF, extend the lease, or rent the equipment on a month-by-month basis, IBM does not guarantee that the cost of the product if any of these options is taken at the end of 24 months will be cheaper than buying the product outright upfront.

Eligible ProductsThe promotion is available on all System x models, including BladeCenter, and all System x peripherals, including storage.

Start and End DatesThis promotion is valid for products purchased and delivered between January 4, 2010, and March 31, 2010.

Terms and Conditions1. Minimum transaction is A$40,000/NZ$50,000 excluding GST.2. Clients will still be eligible for the promotion whether they buy the product

directly from IBM or indirectly through a Business Partner*.

3. The offer is for a 24 month lease to return, with payments monthly in arrears. At the end of the 24 month period clients may:a. Return the asset to IGF and upgrade to newer technology, orb. Extend the lease, orc. Rent the equipment on a month-by-month basis, ord. Make an offer to purchase the equipment at its then Fair Market
