Niccolo Machiavelli was born in May 3, 1469 and died in June 22 1527 (aged 58). He studied humanism and made a book call The Prince. Along with many other books but The Prince was his most famous one, Machiavelli was weird, he thought mankind was evil and the book says that the prince has to maintain the rules to which the people know so the new prince has the difficult part in ruling. First he must stabilize his power in order to build a structures. Machiavelli believed that public and private morality had to be understood as two different things in order to rule well. A ruler must be concerned not only with reputation, but also must be positively willing to act good at all times and finally wrote that kings have to change so the city or empire etc. can change as well.

Gutenberg was the first European to use movable typing in 1439. In Renaissance Europe, the arrival of mechanical movable type printing introduced the era of mass communication which permanently altered the structure of society. Revolutionary ideas transcended borders, captured the masses in the Reformation and threatened the power of political and religious authorities. The sharp increase in literacy broke the monopoly of the literate elite on education and learning and bolstered the emerging middle class

Ludovico Ariosto was an Italian poet born on the September 8, 1474, and died on July 4, 1433 he introduced narrative commentary through the poem of Ottava Rima. Ariosto was born on Reggio Emilia, he was one of the oldest of 10 children. and was seen as the successor to the patriarchal position of his family. from his early years he was very interested in poetry. but he was obligated by his father Ludovico Ariosto to study law. after his father death he went and study literature to take care of his family. after he did some comedies, they were attracted by Ippolito d'Este who took the poet under his patronage. Then the cardinals brother Alfonso duke of ferrara took Ariosto as patronage. but by then Ariosto was an ambassador of Pope Jairus ll. On his second mission he brought back an illness from who was never recovered.

The printing press was invented by Johannes Gutenberg in 1450. The printing press is a device used to print in paper or cloth. it uses dark ink. It first started in Germany and then moved through the rest of Europe. The Printing press was made so that people would do more literature and so with this people saw more with writing and more books and basically literature grew more and more by the time thanks to Johannes Gutenberg.
