Hitachi’s Global e-Service is a dedicated online, web

based application, developed by Hitachi to help you

monitor and operate your fleet of Hitachi machines in

the best possible way to increase productivity, reduce

downtime, and ultimately reduce costs.

The Global e-Service website can be accessed at any

time from any computer connected to the Internet.

After logging on to the website, a variety of essential

information is available, ranging from recent machine

operation data and maintenance records, to information

on the actual geographical location of your machines.

How it functionsGlobal e-Service was originally developed alongside

Hitachi’s IT based machines. Nowadays, the majority

of our machines* sends its machine operation data

on a daily basis via GPRS or satellite* to a main server

managed by Hitachi. This data is then processed

by Hitachi and made available to you in a clear and

structured way through the Global e-Service website.

Managing your fleet effectively from any computer, anytime, anywhere...

Managing machinesSpend a few minutes to learn more about the above

functionalities and find out how the Global e-Service

website can help make your job easier and more

effective.

Spending hours and hours to keep your files on your

machines up-to-date and manually keep track of your

machines? The Global e-Service website can help you

manage your machines much more efficiently!

After logging onto the secured Global e-Service

website, all of your machines are listed in a clear and

compact overview.

From the general machine overview, you can see

where your machines are located, the number of hours

they have been operating, the remaining fuel level of

each machine, as well as the forecasted date of its

next service. The data can help you easily track your

machines and effectively plan their deployment.

The Global e-Service website provides access to up to date andrelevant machine information including:

“Fuel prices are rocketing! How can Global e-Service help me to monitor my machines fuel consumption?”

Daily fuel consumption of each of your machines can be

monitored conveniently in one screen. The same screen

will give you life time consumption of that machine and

the possibility to calculate an average over a self defined

period.

The “Machine” information screen provides you with

general identification data on your machine, like its

model name, serial number and date of delivery to you.

Selecting the tab “Operation” will reveal a variety of

actual machine operation and fuel consumption figures.

The general Operation screen will provide you with a

clear overview of the machine’s operating status: the

operating hours per day, the total operating hours, its

total and average fuel consumption and the machine’s

remaining fuel level*.

Additional information on a particular machine can be retrieved by selecting any of the machines that is shown in the list and choosing one of the tabs on the screen.

“My governemental customers require strict control over CO2 emissions of the machines I use for the job. Can Global e-Service support me in that?”

As a recent upgrade, Global e-Service can now also

display CO2 emissions of each of your machines as well

as indicating hours of idling.

More detailed information on the operating status of any particularmachine can be retrieved from subsequent screens that reveal detailsof CO2 emissions from fuel*

This information becomes more and more valuable

as local legislations restrict excessive CO2 emissions.

High amounts of non operating hours result in lots of

idling, indicating inefficient operation and the emission of

unnecessarily high amounts of CO2.

If you wish to further analyse the data, or use it for any

other purpose, you can simply download it at a click of

your mouse.

of each main sub-assembly are shown as a function of the maintenance items to be carried out in hours.

This will help you define when maintenance activities should be performed so that you can reflect this information in

the planning of the machine’s utilisation, parts ordering, etc

The Global e-Service website gives you the opportunity to store andrecall all details of maintenance services carried out in the pastor planned in the future to streamline planning of each machine’sutilisation.

“I appreciate the service contracts that my Hitachi dealer is offering me. I do no longer need to worry about making an appointment for a mechanic for regular maintenance for each of my machines but can fully rely on my dealer for carrying out timely and professional maintenance. Still I would like to see a confirmation that the maintenance jobs have actually been carried out.”

Any maintenance item carried out by an authorised

Hitachi dealer is entered in the machine’s computer.

Through Global e-Service, this information is available

on screen in the office the next day.

Downloading reference listsReference lists of daily inspection items, periodical maintenance or preventive maintenance items can easily be

downloaded from the system and printed out for daily use or recording purposes. The full details of the maintenance

Showing machines locationsThe latest reported location of your machines can be shown on your screen using different mapping methods based

on GIS (Geographical Information System) or Google Maps.

Tracking and tracingBy selecting the GIS system to display the location of your machines, additional functions become available: the GIS

system allows you to trace multiple machines by specific search criteria, like hour meter intervals or area searches. GIS

also enables you to trace and display movements of machines over a period of time

“I can only locate a maximum of 20 machines usingthe “Location” function within the Global e-Servicewebsite. How can I get an overview of all of my machines in the area?”

Google Maps can be used to locate a limited numberof machines. For reviewing complete fleets Globale-Service has GIS. GIS additionally enables you to track movements of your equipment in the past.

Using the zoom and display options available within

Google Maps, you can obtain extremely detailed

information on the reported location of the selected

machine. This can be very useful when planning a visit

to a specific machine.

Efficiently monitoring and planning the utilisation of any of yourmachines requires you to know each machine’s exact geographicallocation of current operation.Under the tab “Location” within the Global e-Service website, this information is automatically registered and shown in

different ways as per your personal preference.
