communications, Skyline has a worldwide capability and is designed

for rapid deployment and low initial cost. Enigma Vehicle Systems

PLC has been in business since 1992 and has extensive experience

in vehicle and plant security, tracking for vehicle management or

stolen vehicle recovery.

Although based in the UK, we

have a growing presence in the

Middle East through our Joint

Venture, Enigma-Bushager LLC in

Dubai and partners in Europe, South

and Central America and Africa.

Tracking our roots since 1992

Enigma Vehicle Systems PLC started business in 1992 when there was a

high level of commercial vehicle and construction plant theft. Our goal

was simple; To provide market leading products & services and thus

reduce vehicle theft.

At that time tracking, for stolen vehicle recovery, was

in its infancy and the technology was used to provide

additional layers of security for more traditional

products such as immobilisers and alarms.

Throughout the decade the business grew with an

expanding base of customers, of all sizes, who turned

to Enigma for advice and products to improve their

security. Our expertise, and service, also expanded

with a national, mobile engineering team, 24 hour

service, ISO 9001:2000 & VSIB accreditation.

During this time Enigma worked closely with

operators, Security Consultants, Police, Insurers and

the Vehicle Security Installation Board (VSIB). We

continue to

value and develop those relationships today.

In 2003 Enigma took a large step forward and

commissioned the Skyline advanced vehicle tracking and

security system. The intention was to offer a world class

security, tracking and fleet management system with the

flexibility to use products appropriate for the application.

Skyline went live in July 2004 and has become one of the

market leading systems, especially in the construction,

utility and plant rental business. Theft recovery has been

so successful that, to the end of 2007, over £42 million of

plant had been recovered using Skyline.

mobile or handheld device.

application fully re-designed in 2008 to offer a host of new

Industry leading vehicle tracking, data management and security systems

The GPS satellite constellation transmits data that the tracking device stores at 1 second intervals. This is logged within the device and transmitted by GPRS when an event occurs. Skyline servers receive this data, translate it to events & locations simultaneously populating the database and the Skyline applications. Users can access this graphically or by means of the reporting suite.
