Feature Details

3rd Party Invoice Report

This enhancement will allow users to report on billing information recorded within ‘Private – 3rd Party’ invoices. This will be implemented as a custom report and will only be available to users from Windsor Medical Clinic. All other users who would like to have access to this functionality must contact Help Desk. Prior to generating a 3rd Party Invoice report, the following must be completed for data to appear in the report:

1. An insurance company must be created in Enterprise > Billing > Insurance. 2. The insurance company must be added to a patient’s chart (Details > Demographics). 3. At least one 3rd party invoice must be issued or partially paid (i.e. Invoice Status = Issued or Partial). Only

services with outstanding amounts will display in the report. a. An invoice has a status of ‘Issued’ when clicking the ‘Save & Issue’ button when creating a ‘Private

– 3rd Party’ invoice. b. An invoice has a status of ‘Partial’ when the total billed amount of the invoice is only partially paid

(i.e. an outstanding amount exists). Note: If an invoice has a status of ‘Edit’, the services within that invoice will not display in the report.

Once the necessary steps have been completed, the report can be generated and printed from the following location in NOD: Reports > Custom > Options > 3rd Party Invoice Report.

Users can specify a specific date range for the report that will display services that occurred (i.e. Service Date) within that range. The report can also be filtered based on the ‘Days Outstanding’ which indicates how long a service has been outstanding (i.e. not paid in full from the date the invoice was issued to the current date). There are 5 categories that will be available in the ‘Days Outstanding’ drop-down list:

• All (default) = Displays all services no matter how long they are outstanding.

• 30 = only displays services that are outstanding for less than or equal to 30 days.

• 60 = only displays services that are outstanding for less than or equal to 60 days.

• 90 = only displays services that are outstanding for less than or equal to 90 days.

• 90+ = only displays services that are outstanding for greater than 90 days. Below is an example of how the 3rd Party Invoice report will display along with the sections included in the report.

1. “Payer” Invoice – This section displays details of all 3rd Party Invoices for a specific payer. 2. Payee Details 3. Payer Details 4. Reporting Period 5. Service Details 6. Page Break 7. “Payer” Invoice – This is the beginning of the next payer invoice.

Bio-Test Laboratory Interface

This enhancement addresses the development of an HL7-based interface that supports inbound receipt and display of Laboratory reports in the NOD application. The messages will be received from Bio-Test Laboratories Inc. who provides test results for patients visiting Centre Medical Ste-Anne. As with other HL7-based reports, these will display in NOD as either matched or unmatched. If the report is matched (i.e. provider and patient in HL7 message are the same as in NOD), then the report will display as an unsigned report in the following areas within NOD (Refer to screenshot below).

1. Review Reports list (Office Actions module > Administration > Review Reports) 2. Unsigned Reports list (Patients module > Reports > Lab Reports)

Provider matching will be based on the following provider identifier:

• Group = ‘Lab Codes’

• Type = ‘Bio-Test Lab Code’

Patient matching will be based on the following rules:

• Primary match = Health Card Number + Date of Birth (DOB); if patient does not match, then check secondary criteria.

• Secondary match = Patient first name + last name + DOB + Sex If the report is matched to a provider but not to a patient, the report will display in the Unmatched Reports list (Office Actions module > Administration > Review Reports > Unmatched hyperlink).

Resolved issue where a warning message was not displaying when an appointment was booked more than once (on the same day) for a patient. • The name of the patient is now displayed in the read-only Encounter and CPP display.

• When the user navigates to another Lab or DI report in Review Reports (via the up or down keys), then the Encounter or CPP split screen will close.

113376

Resolved issue where the name of the user – who made a comment in an unmatched lab report – was not displaying in the same lab report that was matched to a patient by another user. In other words, when user 1 made a comment to an unmatched report and user 2 matched the report, user 1 was not being shown as the one who made the comment. • All areas in NOD where the patient name is displayed were modified to ensure all characters would display properly.

• Word wrapping was applied in areas that do not have sufficient space to display all characters in one line.

• For ON General laboratory requisition only, the following changes have been made due to space restrictions:

o Display first 24 characters of the Last Name (in Last Name field) and cut off any characters beyond that.

o First Name/Middle Name field = If middle name exists in Demographics, display first 12 characters of first name and first 12 of middle. Cut off any characters beyond that limit. If middle name does not exist, display up to 24 characters of the first name. Cut off any characters beyond that limit.

119500

122022

Resolved issue where specific information was not saving properly within an encounter. This was occurring specifically with subjective/objective and plan notes. These two fields are saved as soon as a user clicks outside of either text area (This can be seen when the text area turns red indicating that it is saving). The more text there is, the longer it will take to save (but not a significant amount of time) so when the Sign Off button is clicked, the Sign off action occurs before the system can completely save all the text. When clicking any action button (i.e. Sign off Now, Sign off later, Print encounter), the system forces the Save action to occur first. Once the save is complete, it will then automatically trigger the action that the user selected (e.g. Sign off now).

123015

The registration window is now displayed as expected when clicking the button.

123054 Resolved issue where NL DI Reports were displaying as ‘unmatched’ even though the patient name and DOB matched to a patient within NOD.

123968 Resolved issue where the status date of a patient was not being updated when receiving an ADT message from TOH (The Ottawa Hospital).

124081

Resolved issue where the incorrect amount was being calculated when billing premiums in an OHIP claim. When manually correcting the value and saving the invoice, the amount was reverting back to the incorrect amount. The amount for premium – ‘E409A’ (50%) – for codes Z442, Z440, G297B is now displaying the correct amount and is saving properly.

124203 Resolved issue where the comments for a scanned document were not displaying within the lab report.

report is printing as expected.

Resolved issue where medication expiry date was changing when updating the SIG instructions of the medication. The expiry date is no longer changing in this scenario.

125046 Resolved issue where a session error was occurring when attempting to open a signed encounter.

125069

Resolved issue where the brand name and manufacturer information would not display (i.e. results would display and then disappear) when creating a new default immunization (Patients Module > Setup > Manage Clinical Lists > Immunizations > New). If this situation occurs now, the user will be prompted to select an immunization first.

126015

Resolved issue where an error message was displaying when loading a PDF document from Office Actions > Admin > File Report > File All. Users can now upload any type of document without issue.

126057 Resolved issue where the Start and End date/time fields within an NB invoice were disabled (greyed out) by default. This is active upon opening the invoice.

126135

Resolved issue where the Search and Search Across Locations functions were not working. When the search button was clicked the user's location was being pulled and became the same as the patient's location. When the search across location button is clicked the location of patients from other locations appear as N/A.
