Ethics and LogicEthics
- study of correct action or doing- a branch of philosophy that studies the
nature and the morality of the human conduct
- focused foremost on demands of subjective human world, or world of people and relationships
- people-oriented
- shows people’s feelings for their partners directly through emotions
Logic- studies the process of correct and
organized thinking - focused foremost on demands of
materials, nonhuman world, or world of “things” in one’s environment
- task-oriented
- Shows their feelings for their partners by doing things for them
Ethics and Psychology• Both deals with the study of man and his
behavior.
Psychology- Studies how man behaves- Not interested in the morality of human
behavior- Scientific study of mental and behavioral
characteristics, associated with a particular kind of behavior
Ethics- Studies how man ought to behave- Concerned with man’s moral
obligation or the result of his behavior- Study of human behavior from the
perspective of morality
Ethics and SociologySociology
- Deals with the study of social order- Deals with human relations in a society
Ethics- Deals with the study of moral order
in the society
