The APGA Convention & ExhibitionThe APGA Annual Convention and Exhibition is one ofthemostsignificantindustryeventsforpipelinesand gas. Its value as an opportunity for information exchange, learning and networking is well known and its convivial atmosphere is one of the highlights. The APGA Convention and Exhibition is a genuine reflection of the Association’s commitment to the industry, to its membership and as an opportunity for those members to shine. This year’s Convention will be held from 14 to 17 October at the Cairns Convention Centre. The theme of the 2017 Convention is Australia’s Pipelines: Safe | Reliable | Essential. There will be presentations about proposed and completed pipelines, gas policy and gas markets, regulation, safety and the environment, skills and training, as well as pipeline research. In this time of challenge to the domestic gas industry, the transmission pipeline industry must maintain the focus on gas availability and on gas supply, while continuingtoprovideefficient, effectiveandsafetransportation.

Of the approximately 30 APGA events and functions each year, the Annual Convention and Exhibition is the highlight: the showcase for the industry. It is an opportunity for all members from all sectors of the industry to meet and address the issues that are important. It is an opportunity to share critical knowledge about the industry. The Exhibition provides the opportunity for participants to display their products and conference attendees to learn about new developments. It is an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the latest products and services. The APGA Convention and Exhibition provides an excellent forum for exchange of ideas and information. The Business Program promises high-quality papers and useful information and we look forward to welcoming you and your partner to the 2017 APGA Convention and Exhibition, to participate in four busy, informative and entertaining days.
