    Warranty

The marine gearboxes are subjectto the standard REINTJES warranty

conditions. Modifications of thegearbox are only permissible in con-sultation with REINTJES. Torsional responsibility

The torsional couplings are selectedaccording to engine torque in theevent that different couplings arerequired as a result of the torsionalvibration calculation, the costs forthis change will be for the purchaser'saccount. Torsional vibration analysiscan be made by the engine builders, independent consultants etc. The

responsibility for ensuring torsionalcompatibility of the propulsion sys-tem rests with the assembler of theequipment. REINTJES cannot be heldliable for damages due to inadmis-sible high alternating moments onthe units supplied by us. These willdisengage us from any warrantyagreement.

    Safety information

The majority of accidents which oc-cur during operation, maintenance

and repair are caused by failureto observe basic safety rules andaccident-prevention precautions.Accidents can often be avoided bycorrect assessment of potentiallyhazardous situations. The operatingpersonnel must, at all times, bealert to potential hazards. Further-more, they must be fully trained, skilled operators provided with thenecessary tools and equipment re-quired to perform these functionscorrectly. Supplementary to theoperating manual, all generallyvalid legal and other binding regu-lations for accident prevention andpollution control have to be obser-ved and adhered to.

    Ratings

Ratings are for diesel engines only,at the rated speeds. The models, ratings, text and data containedin this publication are subject tochange without prior notice.REINTJES considers standard rota-tion engines to be counter clockwise(ccw) in rotation, when viewed onto

    the flywheel end. Please advise

REINTJES of engine rotation priorto gearbox selection.

    Classification

Classification ratings are avail-able on request.
