Greetings Reid Temple Family,

Many of you can testify of having experienced something that simply cannot be explained; health challenges that suddenly disappeared, unanticipated provision that came out of nowhere, persistent conflicts that reached resolution, odds that were beat, trends that were reversed. Many of us know what it means for the impossible to become possible in our lives and when it did we knew that it was all because of God!

The Lord really does still use His power to affect the affairs of His people. Doubters and skeptics may not agree but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s true. God still does the miraculous and many of you are living illustrations that prove this to be so.

We have deemed this month the Miracle Month of May! We are looking forward to our annual revival that will be held at our Glenn Dale location each Wednesday night. Guest preachers will be with us to share the word of God as we position ourselves to receive what the Lord has for us. We invite you to worship with us at each of these services and we pray that the Lord’s power will show up in your lives in a miraculous way!

Many other things are happening in the life of our church and are featured in this month’s calendar. We look forward to celebrating Rev. Watley’s 20th Anniversary in ministry at our North location and our new D.C. service is pleased to make a very exciting announcement this month! Our By Faith Campaign is happy to share how God is blessing our congregation and, as we prepare for the month of June, our Women and our Youth are excited about their upcoming conferences.

We hope that you will participate in everything that is happening in the life of our church as God continues to bless us and use us to build His People and expand His Kingdom!

As Pastor Washington begins his thirty-third year of Pastoral leadership we continue our commitment to serve the people of God and our community by providing relevant ministry that impacts lives for the Kingdom.

We want to take this opportunity to report on the great strides we continue to accomplish, By Faith as Holy Spirit provides vision and direction, and equips us to accomplish the will of God. As One Church in Two locations we ended the last conference year having accomplished the following together:

° New Believers 538

° New Members 1,438

° Began a new Sunday Morning Worship Service in Washington D.C.

° Pastor Washington’s Weekly Radio Broadcast continues to reach people within the DMV region and beyond.

° Reid Live Network now reaches viewers in thirty countries and on five continents

° Scholarships were allocated to High School Graduates totaling $150,000

° Queen Jefferson Missionary Society provided $120,000 in financial assistance to those in need.

° Meals served to the homeless exceeded 4,200

° Monthly visits to nursing homes 64

° Provided Thanksgiving baskets to 2,100 families

° Sponsor A Child program served 2,400 kids

° Senior Center Programs and Activities occur three times weekly

° Reid Temple Christian Academy Enrollment 327

° Paid off the $2.0 Million line of credit used to build out our North Campus

° By Faith Campaign Commitment $8,000,000

° Campaign cash collections of $1,500,000

By Faith in God we aim to please as we continue to serve through Evangelism, Education, Empowerment, Economics and Expansion. If you haven’t joined us yet in the By Faithcampaign, One Vision—Two Dreams, we invite you to PRAY, and to COMMIT by completing a By Faith commitment card. Cards are available at the church and digital cards are available on our church website. Then GIVE toward this effort. Remember, it’s not about equal giving, but it’s about equal sacrifice.
