Results
An EU level neZEH network, facilitating exchanges between the
supply (building professionals) and the demand side (SME hotel
owners)
A practical e-tool, to empower SME hoteliers to assess their energy
profile and to choose best technical solutions in order to reach an nZE
level. Consortium will upgrade the HES tool.
14 pilot projects, in 7 countries received technical assistance for their
energy refurbishment plans to NZE perforance level
15.000+ hotel owners informed and gained access to the project
results in EU level
Training material for building professionals and hotel owners
Case studies and showcase materials on NZE hotels
Tailor made marketing guidelines and a set of promotional tools to
help front runners to promote their business to potential customers
Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning Associations
Outcomes

Main actions
1. Mapping of the current skills and skill gaps
Definition
• Relevant professions
• Skills levels
• Relevant nZEB technologies (energy management, production, reduction)
• Interdisciplinary skills
Inventory
• Mapping of current skills levels and the number of professionals
• Done by national, interdisciplinary expert team
Skills gaps
• Identifying skills gaps at the defined skills levels for all the involved professions
Roadmap development
• Matching the need for professionals by 2020 and beyond with the current status
• Training action plan according the identified training need
Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning Associations
Main actions - 2. Development of the Open Training Platform
and Qualification Scheme
• Information pool about the
European training programme,
trainers and training
organisations.
• Information about professional
profiles needed for NZEB
construction.
• European Mutual Learning
Platform for building
professional with online training
tools.
• Training material repository
Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning Associations
• 5 international TtT sessions for ACE & REHVA member
associations, and training providers joining PROF/TRAC
• The ‘trained trainers’ will act as ambassadors for the
developed nZEB qualification scheme ensure that the
materials are adapted in their national training portfolio
and courses will be organised
• 1st round TtT session organised in February 2016 - 22
trainers from 6 countries trained.
• 2nd round TtT session – Zagreb, 19-21 September 2016

QUANTUM
Quality management for building performance - improving
energy performance by life cycle quality management
Objectives:To develop and demonstrate pragmatic services and appropriate
tools with high replication potential supporting quality management
(QM) for building performance in the design, construction,
commissioning and operation phase as a means to close the gap
between predicted and actual energy performance in European
buildings.
The gap in building performance is not caused by a lack of
technology or conceptual intelligence but by a lack of quality.

European buildings
The QUANTUM Tools: Quality Control Loops
- Dissemination about the advantages
of comprehensive QM systems for
the building industry
- At least 10% reduction in energy
consumption
- Proof cost effective multiplication
