programs that offer participants
the opportunity to stay strong
and keep moving.

the opportunity to stay strong
and keep moving.
STRONG WOMEN
This program out of Tuft’s University is a strength training program designed to help middle-aged to older women maintain their independence by increasing muscle mass & bone density and reducing the risks of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis and arthritis. Exercises are completed in standing, sitting, and lying down. Participants bring their own hand weights and yoga mats. Ankle weights are available for use.
Classes are held on: Tuesdays & Thursdays
8 am—9 am
Cost:$30/session
Programs are taught by a physical therapist assistant who has Level 1 certification in the Meeks Method for osteoporosis. Exercises are supervised to assure they are preformed with the best form so participants get the maximum benefit.

This program is a gentle exercise program that focuses on maintaining or improving joint mobility, muscle strength, and functional mobility. It is designed for anyone with arthritis or related skeletal conditions including those who are sedentary, older, or have impaired joint mobility. Exercises are completed in sitting and standing at participants own pace. No special equipment is required.
