On behalf of IFATS, I invite you to the 17th Annual Meeting in Marseille, France on December 4 -7, 2019.

IFATS was founded in 2002 by pioneers following the historical discovery of mesenchymal stem cells in human subcutaneous adipose tissue. Since then, the IFATS annual symposium has been an international meeting ground for leading professionals in this exciting field of regenerative medicine. Not only plastic surgeons and cell biologists, but also scientists in industries and physicians in other fields attend this meeting and exchange the most up-to-date data on basic, translational, and clinical research in adipose-derived products, including adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs).

A special one-day course for Trainees will precede the meeting on Wednesday at the University. IFATS works closely with other leading scientific organizations and we will have collaborating panels with several of these organizations in Marseille. We have brought back the Industry Showcase and Lunch & Learn sessions, and will feature a three-part Symposium on Mechanical and Enzymatic Preparation of Fat and PRP.

The IFATS Annual Meeting continues to provide attendees the opportunity to learn about state-of-the-art technology and clinical practice, touch cutting-edge products developed by sponsor companies, and interact with the brightest minds in the field. The meeting will end with the networking gala event where attendees will enjoy a memorable evening with international leaders in the field.

We look forward to seeing you in Marseille and are sure that every attendee will learn much and enjoy their time in this exciting city in the South of France.

Standards and Accreditation for Adipose Based Therapies:Introduction and Path Forward

Wondering what the buzz is all about? AABB has partnered with IFATS to set standards and offer voluntary accreditation for adipose based therapies. This interactive afternoon workshop will allow participants to understand the new standards and how compliance will be assessed. After presentations on the standards, the session will allow for discussion and scenarios to explain the AABB Standards and the accreditation philosophy for assessing against these new standards.
