Introducing Carole Liebzeit

Carole is all about color and design! She travels the world inspiring fiber artists and quilters to stretch their color boundaries and creative spirit. Her degree in art, use of the color wheel, nature, tribal textiles and extensive travel have all contributed to her popularity and success. A 40 year background in art education allows for a progression of skills to be introduced and color confidence to be developed in a relaxed atmosphere.

Several years ago, our own Georgia Bonesteel featured Carole’s studio and quilts in Jackson Hole, WY, on her television show. Her teaching credentials include the AQS Show in Paducah, KY, and many years teaching at the Empty Spools Seminar in Asilomar, CA.

Carole’s quilts reflect traditional blocks created with clear, bright colors used in unconventional ways. Please join us on March 16 at 7:00 PM for her lecture “Color Strategies”. Her workshop will be Friday, March 17, beginning at 9:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church.

2017 Challenge Quilt The 2017 National Quilt Day challenge show will be held at the Henderson County Library in Hendersonville on Saturday, March 18, from 10 am through 4 pm. Quilts need to be turned in by the March guild meeting. Be sure to label the back of your quilt with name, address and telephone number (make a removable label if donating quilt). You are encouraged to pick up your quilt after the National Quilt Day show and enter it in the big Guild Show later this year and then hopefully donate your item to Habitat for Humanity. There will be an opportunity to donate your item to Habitat directly at the close of both shows. Contacts: Francia Tartar and

and recommended the March program by Carole Liebzeit on the chevron braid with a workshop on Friday,
