Below is a general overview of the Clicktool setup process.

Tracking pixels on certain ad platforms like Google, Facebook, and Pinterest allow us to properly track and use the algorithms with out the traditional tools like voluum. If you are running mobile or traffic with out sophisticated pixel we create this guide and set up a promo code for Click Tool. Go to Clicktool.com signup page, click “try it” and fill in your information.

You should receive this confirmation. Click “Begin the wizard!” to get started.

Don’t forget to go to your email and activate your account!
Log into Clicktool.com. Click "Onboarding" on the top menu.

2. FOLLOW THE ONBOARDING PROCESS

Clicktool walks you through the entire setup process from start to finish. This guide will help demonstrate andelaborate on each step.
Click “Lander” to begin.
3. SET UP YOUR LANDER

1. Set a name for your lander (you will only see this in Clicktool)
2. Fill in the URL of the lander you would like to track with Clicktool
3. Click “Submit”
Your lander will now be displayed where the button used to be.
4. Click “Continue” to move to the next step
4. ADD AN AFFILIATE NETWORK

This is an optional step, I’d recommend doing this step as it takes virtually no time, and will help organize yourcampaigns.
For the purpose of this demo, we used Clickbank.
Once you’ve entered your affiliate network, click “Submit”.

Your affiliate network should now be displayed where the button used to be.
Click “Continue” to move to the next step.
5. ADD AN OFFER
1. Click the “Offer” button

For the purpose of this demo, we’ve selected Ted’s Woodworking as the Clickbank offer we’re setting up. This iswhat the affiliate link for would look like.
IMPORTANT - The URL you will be putting here is the affiliate link that’s located in a button or hyperlink that takespeople off your lander, to the offer you’re promoting.
2. Name your offer
3. Input your affiliate link URL
4. Select affiliate network
5. Enter payout for the offer (optional)
Click “Submit”

Your offer should now be displayed where the button used to be.
Click “Continue” to move to the next step.
6. REPLACE LANDING PAGE LINKS
For this step, you’re going to need to substitute the link provided in your Clicktool for the link that normally redirects

people off your lander.
In this case, my link is https://clickssource3v4.com/click
Log in to your Cpanel on your webhosting and locate the .php or .html file for your lander and click “edit”.

Locate the link in your button/hyperlink that takes people off your lander to the next page.
Swap it out for your Clicktool link. Save the changes.
Go back to your Clicktool and click “continue” to move to the next step.
7. ADD A TRAFFIC SOURCE

Click the “Traffic Source” button.
Enter your traffic source, click submit. In this example, we are using Facebook.

Your traffic source should now appear where the button used to be. Click “continue”.
8. ADD A CAMPAIGN
Clicktool provides excellent instructions for this step. Read over their directives and click “add campaign” buttonbelow after scrolling down.

1. Name your campaign
2. Set your CPC. (Only fill this in if you know your actual CPC numbers for the campaign. You will not know this ifyou are just starting out. Just leaving it blank it's fine)
3. Select your traffic source
4. Set the Query String. This is your tracking and will vary per ad network. In this example we are using Clickbank,so we use “tid=” as that is their tracking parameter.
5. Select your lander
6. Select your offer

7. Click Submit
9. DOWNLOAD THE CAMPAIGN FILE
Clicktool uses the campaign file to mirror your lander so it can track results. This has many purposes but the mainbenefit is that you will not redirect through an affiliate link (some traffic sources do not like this).
Click on the little globe on the right hand side, between ROI and DELETE. This will download the file.
Click “Continue"
10. UPLOAD THE FILE TO YOUR SERVER

Locate the campaign file you downloaded in step 9. We will now need to upload it to the same directory as yourlander.
Log in to your cpanel in your webhosting again.
In the same directory as your lander, you want to upload the campaign file. In this example, ours is called“demofile.html”.

You’ll notice the original lander (woodworking_plans.html) we have put in clicktool below, in the same directory.This is crucial.
Go back to Clicktool and click “continue”
11. INSTALLING YOUR TRACKING PIXEL
This step is a little bit harder to explain as the process will vary from affiliate network to affiliate network. Clickbank provides generalinstructions but you may have to contact your affiliate manager or ad network for assistance on this one.
For this demo, we will be showing how to install it in Clickbank.

Copy your pixel and remove the “<script src=” as well as the “?type=OPTIONAL&payout=OPTIONAL&cid=OPTIONAL”><script/>”. This is script code so you can install it on awebsite. This is not what we are doing, so it needs to be removed.
The link should now look like this: https://clickssource3v4.com/trackingPixel
Copy the edited pixel and log in to your Clickbank back end.
Click on the “Vendor Settings” tab.

Click on “My Site” directly below on the submenu.
Scroll down to the “Integrated Sales Reporting” section and click the “Add Tracking Code” button.
Select “Tracking Pixel” from the dropdown menu and click “Add”
Paste your edited tracking pixel from Clicktool in the “Tracking Pixel URL” section.

Select “Affiliate” and “Confirmation page”.
Scroll down and click “Save”
Once saved, you should see the pixel displayed in the “Integrated Sales Reporting” section. If it displays as“Inactive”, you will want to click the play symbol and change it to “active”.

Once your pixel is active, go back to Clicktool and click “Continue”

Your campaign is now launched!
VERY IMPORTANT
In order for Clicktool to work properly, you must link to your CAMPAIGN FILE, not your lander.
For example:
Our lander link is http://xyz/wood2/teds/woodworking_plans.html
Our Campaign file link is http://xyz/wood2/teds/demofile.html
When putting our link in Facebook platform, we will use http://xyz/wood2/teds/demofile.html if we want to trackwith Clicktool.
