Survey Research for CRP Sub-Region Feasibility Study

Purpose and Objectives

• To examine awareness of regional transit concepts, and assess trip needs for residents of select communities located south of Calgary, if a service were established in the near future. Investigate factors involved with the implementation of a trial regional transit service among residents.

Data Gathering Processes

• Representative Survey – A telephone survey conducted with 800 to 1,000 residents (~ 300 in Okotoks) using a random sampling to measure residents’ perceptions and behaviors about regional transit service and travel.

• Engagement Survey – A open-link online questionnaire will be developed to allow any resident in the region to provide their input into issues being examined in the feasibility study.

Timing

• Fielding would begin around July 20 and be implemented for approximately two to three weeks.
