What can we Learn from Region VI Section Health Assessment ?
• 10/15 Sections in Region VI communicate regularly and are doing well 1 Section tries (Pt Lobos – Very Small) 3 Sections need work and/or attention (2 Small / 1 Very LARGE) 1 Section does not communicate at ALL (Small)
• Small and Very Small sections tend to be less communicative They have less funds They do fewer activities
• Leadership in any section makes a big difference Keeping leadership for more than 1 year in smaller sections may be a good idea . . . Better
than having poor leadership Alternatively, sometimes forcing a change in leadership can result in positive movement
• Taking advantage of Institute resources (Cat I, Cat II, and Cat III funds and travel reimbursement, for example) seems to make sections more responsive to the Institute
