Region Report – Quarter 4 - 2014
Q4 The last quarter of 2014 was smooth and for once more full of events
across the Region.
All Divisions progress in terms of ATC training and members assistance,
while ATC activity is stable on high levels as in Q2 and Q3 - 2014.
Membership and member retention receive attention at all Divisions.
Members joining or transferring, receive welcome emails with all necessary
information.
2014 was a bright year for Asia and its Divisions, in aspects of Training,
Events, and online group flights, offering a great VATSIM Experience for all
members.
We hope to see you in the future as a pilot, or atc to crowd our skies in 2015.

Division VATPRC - Division Director: Yu Xiong (1191126)
Member Retention We have appointed Zhenhao Yang (1259390) as Public Relations Director.
In the fourth quarter of 2014, VATPRC still has a progressive increasing numbers of new-registered VATSIM members. In addition, the numbers of members joining our forum and the followers of Chinese Twitter (Weibo) have increased steadily. We are expecting more new pilots to register a VATSIM account and a progressively increased influence in mainland China FS communities.

This term we have promoted 3 ATC students to be CTR level (one of them was directly promoted to C3 level because of his staff position), 2 ATC students to be APP level, and 2 ATC students to be TWR level. In addition, the numbers of members applied to ATC has increased significantly in this term, and we have trained two more instructors to deliver the training session.

Pilot Training N/A No progress in this term due to lack of manpower
Operations A new Publication Relations Director has been appointed. Therefore, no staff position is vacant in this term. Furthermore, we are looking for a Webmaster to provide technical support.
Events This year, World Flight has 4 legs at 3 airports (ZBAA,ZSSS,ZGGG) in mainland China. We did lots of work to prepare this large event, and the high participants of each legs made all of us excited. In addition, we continued organizing various events on every Saturday. Meanwhile, we are thinking to organize regular VFR events on every Friday night.
